Hi Alicia, thanks for joining us today. What’s been the best thing you’ve ever seen (or done yourself) to show a client that you appreciate them?

Honestly I treat all of my clients as if they were a family member that is traveling. I know vacations are very important to families. People save up for months in order to be able to go on the trip & they look forward to it for months. I want them to have the most amazing time and focus on making memories with their family and not the details.

Alicia, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My name is Alicia Kleinsmith and I am a Travel Agent Specializing in Disney Destination with Something Magical Travel Company! I am a girl Mom to Lyla (6) & Peyton (3) and we love traveling together. The best way to describe me in a full blown Disney Adult with a coffee addiction & a little bit of ADHD.

For as long as I can remember, I have been going to Disney with my family every year. Once I had kids of my own I knew I wanted to take them to Disney as often as possible while they are little. The more I went, the more friends and family would ask me for help when they were planning their own trips.

I decided to take a leap and became a travel agent about 3 years ago. Through that I met some of the greatest humans in Ashley & Lindsey. When they wanted to start Something Magical Travel Company, I knew I was along for the ride. They have put so much hard work into creating something so special and I am very lucky to be apart of the team.

As your travel agent I will help you build the vacation of your dreams! First, we will go through the quoting process to ensure everything is perfect & fits into your budget. After we book, DON’T PANIC! You will have access to FULL guides outlining everything about your destination. Next, being a travel addict myself, I will give you some of my personal recommendations and advice to ensure you feel ready enjoy your vacation.

We are currently booking Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Disney’s Aulani Resort & Spa, Adventures By Disney, Universal Studios Orlando, Universal Studios Hollywood & Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

I find that most people find me through social media. Even if they are not ready to travel yet, they associate me with Disney or other travel destinations so when they are ready they know where to come. Also, referrals have been amazing and honestly the best compliment from my past clients. It makes my heart so happy that I made life easier for them enough to tell their friends and family about their experience.

How did you build your audience on social media?

Social Media and I have a real love hate relationship! I was on the struggle bus for almost 2 full years to get any type of visibility on my content. I started following some accounts that specialized in social media growth and one of the main pieces of advice they all gave was consistency. I made a goal for myself to post EVERYDAY. Not ever post did well, but I have several things go viral which pumped up my followers. Once I was able to grow my following I really try to give them meaningful content that is relevant to travel.

Advice to anyone starting out…..don’t give up. Just keep posting, keep trying new things, keep going. You will spend hours making content that flops & something will go viral that took 5 minutes to make. YOU GOT THIS!
