Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alicia Hernandez. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alicia, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?

To find a way to be successful is a balancing act of doing what you love, and getting paid to do that. With the right amount of time and passion, the outcome will show. There will always be like-minded individuals that are willing to pay for your presentation of your passion. I took the chance and started working part-time to put my energy into photography. Over time more and more people from all over noticed my work. That drove me to push harder, push myself out of my comfort zone, and make my dreams a reality. The success, so to speak, is reading or hearing how much the clients enjoy and love what I produce.

Alicia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I grew up in Chicago, playing outside with my friends til it got cold, then we went inside to play video. games.

Later on, I moved around a bit where I attended college for forensic science. I was instantly captivated by the photography courses. That is where the fire was lit. I decided to stoke the flames by purchasing a Canon Rebel T4. From there, I have tried my best to tirelessly perfect my craft.

I provide photography that entails capturing images of all different types. My services include modeling, lifestyle, portraits, promotions, and family sessions. Im an open-book, so overall, if you have any idea, I can make it happen.

I’ve had many clients that have had troubles with body images, self-esteem, and even past traumas. My number one priority is to assure you that the images I capture will make all of those fade away. Their comfort and happiness are paramount.

I am most proud of the growth I’ve made through the years and I would want my fans, clients, and followers to know that my versatility and my drive are what really create the perfect image.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I definitely feel as if my reputation isn’t based purely on my product. From reading and hearing the responses of my clients, I’ve come to learn that me as a person is a direct reflection for the amount of potential clients that reach out. I strive to be as down to earth and open-minded as possible. Me being an open-book to all of the ideas has been the most valuable asset to my arsenal in my photography.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of my art form is the reactions of all my subjects/clients. Seeing the outcome being shared gives me more joy in the end because the image that I saw I get to share with them and they, in turn, share to the world. Having the opportunity to share my art with the world, makes me feel immense gratitude. Not only to the client but the universe for providing the opportunity to do so.
