Hi Alicia, thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
When I first decided to no longer work for anyone and start my business I took a huge risk because I didn’t know what would happen I didn’t have a steady income or a plan B I just knew that I had to make it work because I wasn’t going back to clock In at anyones job. The risk paid off because here I am 3 years later and not only is my business growing but I haven’t worked for anyone else since I decided to take a leap of faith and go all in on my own business.

I own Eleven30 Financial Group. We provide services in Tax Preparation, Credit Restoration, Business Credit Building and Business Formations to both individuals and businesses. I am the creator of The Get Shit Done Planner and the author of Luxury Thinking, I also have a new DIY credit repair Ebook coming soon title Do The Shit Yourself so be sure to order your copy. The problems I solve for my clients are assisting them with repairing their credit as well as helping them rebuild while educating them on how credit works so they understand what to do and not to do. I think the thing that sets me apart from others is that I’m very realistic and I’m myself. most people have always had this Idea of how a “professional” should look or act but I remain true to myself so I’m very relatable to my clients I’ve been where they are so when Im advising them its coming from a place of experience and they know that so they trust me. The thing I am most proud of is my growth, to truly respect where I am in life and business you have to understand where I started and where I come from, changing wasn’t easy but I continue to become a better person and Business owner everyday. I Started this journey with an Idea in my kitchen and I never looked back now here I am three years later I own my own Tax Software, Im a self published author and I have two tax office locations with the plan to open more. SO yeah Im most proud of ME
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Social media has been the best source for me to obtain new clients. I use social media for what it should be used for and that’s to make money. Everybody is on social media so you are able to reach people in places that you’ve never been. Most of my clients come from Instagram and Facebook marketing.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
My advice to anyone who is building a team is to make sure you all have the same goal which is to make sure your brand is taking care of and what I mean by that is you have to have people on your team who want to see you win and at times they have to be selfless. you cannot have jealous, envious or lazy people on your team. My team is amazing they understand that when I win we all win! when I eat they eat I’m not a selfish person so I assist my team with their businesses and their ideas as well, we are a family and I know they have my best interest.
