Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alicia Cunningham. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alicia, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
The legacy I’m hoping to build is nothing but an authentic one. I do everything with love for my brand. I hope to be remembered for bringing people together no matter what you do in life.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’ve been in the music industry since like 2014. I went to so many concerts and local shows. I started Tune’s World in 2018 and have been going strong ever since. What sets me apart from others are the artists and creatives I put on my shows. I like to find new talent, no matter how many followers you have. You can have all the followers in the world, but no talent. I love people who bring something different to the table. You can rap, sing, be a poet, a comedian; I appreciate all creatives and hope to continue to bring people of all walks of life together. I am most proud of my consistency. I will continue to grow my brand, work with new artists, and branch out of Dallas.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Like I said I’ve been doing this since 2018. A lot of times I wanted to quit. Dealing with so many people all the time and different egos gets exhausting. My drive keeps me going through it all though because this is what Tune’s World is about. I feel like it will all be worth it soon. Staying consistent and dedicated is all I can do.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A lesson I had to unlearn is taking everything so serious. Business is business and you can’t take everything personal.
