Alfiya, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?

It is my pleasure, thanks for having me! My parents played an instrumental role in my musical journey, and their unwavering support has been invaluable. They recognized my passion for music and my talent for the violin at a very young age. Instead of dismissing it as a mere hobby, they took proactive steps to nurture my talent.

First and foremost, they ensured that I had access to high-level violin teachers, allowing me to receive the best possible training. This early investment in my education laid a strong foundation for my musical development.

As they observed that my love for music was more than just a hobby, they made a pivotal decision to facilitate my transition to a half-home-schooled education. This adjustment allowed me to dedicate more time to practicing the violin, preparing for competitions, and auditioning for prestigious opportunities.

What truly sets my parents apart is their open-mindedness and willingness to embrace my evolving musical interests. When I expressed my desire to explore electronic dance music (EDM) and move away from classical music, they didn’t hesitate to support my decision. Their trust in my vision and their continued encouragement have been instrumental in my journey as an EDM artist.

To this day, my parents remain my biggest champions. They support my ideas, my dreams, and my ambitious visions. Their belief in my abilities has been a constant source of inspiration, motivating me to push the boundaries of what I can achieve in the world of music.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I’m Alfiya Glow, an electric violinist, DJ, and music producer. My journey began in Russia, where I honed my classical violin skills. Later I earned a scholarship to study in the United States.

Collaborations with industry greats expanded my horizons into other musical genres. My music is a fusion of classical violin and EDM, resulting in original tracks, mashups, and remixes.

My mission is to craft emotionally powerful musical experiences that transcend genres, whether it’s for luxury brands events, festivals, or shows.

What sets me apart is this unique fusion. I’ve opened for international electronic headliners and performed for luxury brands like Ferrari and Google. My dedication and personalized playlists are my hallmarks.

Proud moments include my journey from winning violin competitions to performing at iconic U.S. venues. Equally, I’m proud of how my music resonates with people on a deep emotional level.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is the profound privilege of serving as a channel for beautiful sonic ideas and sharing them with the world. Music has the incredible power to transcend language and cultural barriers, and as an artist, I have the opportunity to harness this power.

One of the most fulfilling experiences is gifting the energy of love through sound and performance. When I step onto the stage or into the studio, I pour my heart and soul into every note and composition. The ability to convey love, positivity, and healing through my music is a remarkable gift that brings immense joy.

Another deeply gratifying aspect is the ability to elevate people’s mood and touch their hearts through music. Whether it’s a lively performance that gets the crowd dancing or a soul-stirring composition that evokes deep emotions, music has the power to create transformative moments. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness the impact music can have on individuals, whether it’s lifting their spirits or providing solace during difficult times.

Above all, being an artist allows me to connect with people on a profound level through sound and music. Music transcends boundaries, and it unites people in ways that words often cannot. Whether it’s performing for a live audience or connecting with listeners through recordings, the shared experience of music creates a sense of community and emotional resonance that is incredibly rewarding.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

My creative journey is deeply rooted in a mission that I hold close to my heart. At its core, my mission as an artist is to harness the power of music as a force for positive change and emotional connection.

I believe that music possesses a unique ability to transcend boundaries, touch souls, and inspire transformation. Through my creative work, I aim to create sonic experiences that not only entertain but also elevate and enlighten.
