We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Alexsa Dobbs. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Alexsa below.
Alexsa, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think it takes to be successful?
To be successful I honestly believe you have to be willing to take risk, keep learning & to make sacrifices. I notice that every successful person had to sacrifice something, (whether it’s time, hard work, or money) to get to where they are today! I also believe there should be additional motivating factors other than just money to be successful, which is why i recommend doing something that you love & enjoy! :)

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Being raised in a home with 2 self employed parents set the foundation to where I am now, & where I plan to be in the future. When I turned 16, I got my first job at six flags & after working there & other 9-5’s throughout my younger years, I learned that I simply cannot work doing things I don’t enjoy. So right after my senior year of High-school I started my first lash extension business, “The Glow Aesthetic”. After my first venture, my entrepreneur mindset took off from there & that hobby planted the seed to become the esthetician I am today. After finishing esthetician school, I grew a passion for facials & body services & began to work in different spa’s while also running my own business. As my mind & hunger for success continued to expand, I opened up my 2nd business which is a Jewelry Line called “Atl Custom Pendants”. A year after that I realized I wanted MORE so I started my Hair Extension business which is a sister company to my esthetician business called “The Glow Extensions”, offering top quality raw virgin hair extensions! While simultaneously working on that, I took many training classes to expand my knowledge & skills in esthetics! So as of today, 2022, I offer Dermaplaning Facials, Microdermabrasion, Hydrodermabrasion, Body Detox Wraps, Chemical Peels, Body Scupting, Waxing/Brow Services, Hair Extensions, & Authentic Custom Jewelry! Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I’ve had many obstacles to come in between my journey to try to stop me but I am still here today continuing to prevail & beat the odds. There were times during esthetician school where my back was against the wall which left me no choice to take a small break & although I could’ve given up, I remained positive & still pushed though. After having my first child, taking care of her primarily alone, it caused alot of conflicts within the time & schedule, but I am still here today pushing though. So although the journey to becoming successful can be a challenge, I always advise others to stay resilient, remember the bigger picture & to ALWAYS PUSH THROUGH. Consistency & Persistence will get you to where you want to be!
