Hi Alexis, thanks for joining us today. What were some of the most unexpected problems you’ve faced in your business and how did you resolve those issues?
Growing too fast. When I first started the business I knew it was a service everyone needed but I didn’t expect the clientele to grow so quickly. So many people saw value in it and although I’m very grateful ; I wasn’t prepared. I had to hire people fast and bring help on board a few months into the business. There were times I was overwhelmed but overall these are definitely good problems to have.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Everyone knows about video. Many people know the value of video. But not everyone understands how to properly use video. That’s where we come in.
Not many know my background is actually radio. That taught me alot about content and communication. Radio is a dying business, when I saw the writing on the wall I went to work for a marketing agency. I was lead videographer and that taught me alot about branding, marketing and advertising.
Quickly outgrew the position and left to start my own agency. I saw the value that video has for businesses and no one was using it correctly. Everyone thinks a cool video can solve all their problems, then when it fails they blame the videographer. WRONG. You just used the wrong type of video.

My radio, marketing, and video background is definitely a unique mixture but I think that’s what makes me so good at broadcast, content and branding.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I was always very good at branding and marketing.
This is my 3rd business. The first 2 failed because I was young and wet behind the ears but locally I had built up a decent following thru my past ventures. People knew my face and my name so when I launched my 3rd business it was like picking up where I left off.
People liked the marketing of the previous 2 so when I started offering marketing and brand building as a service I gained clients right away.
So with that being said the previous 2 businesses weren’t failures they were lessons. Everything you’ve been thru prepared you for where you’re at now.

Just be genuine. I genuinely care about my clients. They’ve made my dreams come true so how could I not be grateful?
We work so closely together that it’s inevitable to build a friendship. Some of my clients have been with me for 3-4 years. Even the ones who have gone off to do other things, we still keep in touch.
