We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Alexis Riva. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Alexis below.
Alexis , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Being the CEO of Levels in Christ, LLC, has had up moments and down as all business owners have. As a woman with several giftings, people often get confused and assume “she has too much going on.” However, I learned the art of listening to the Holy Spirit and discerning what gifts to use within a particular season. Now, I walk confidently and boldly within who I am.
Being a person who has always questioned my purpose, and who I was, God has now shown me specific strategies that I can use all my gifting collectively for what’s to come to create the change that I desire within the creative community.
My whole life I wanted to be able to impact, activate, and push others to believe in who they are and who they want to be, and I can do just that within Life Coaching, All things Media Production, Makeup, and Photography. I help others create the change that they desire to see while impacting and activating their life purpose while spreading God’s truths. I can be a voice for the voiceless and hope for those that might need encouragement to keep going.
Being creative and having dealt with depression and anxiety and then overcoming it daily has been my motivation to help others in need. Always creating visuals and being able to see beyond what I can capture in a poem, an image, or words has always been scary for me but being able to step out and trust God that he’s guiding and covering me was always in the front of my mind.

Alexis , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My work has everything to do with creativity whether behind-the-scenes editing for photography, being a host on an onset interview, doing someone’s makeup, or creating a storyboard for a client’s video or film. There’s so much that goes into everything that I do and I am thankful I am able to say now that I have learned the creative season I am in and isn’t as overwhelmed all the time as I used to be thinking I had to do everything at once.
I have been on worship sets singing and working on different film sets for movies as MUA. The best part of everything is helping clients, expanding my creativity, and impacting the lives of others. I think the greatest thing and have been able to do is connect with some incredible creatives and even create with them on my own projects along with theirs. Right now, I am looking to expand on a specific project I am wanting to push out and will need all hands on deck to make it possible.
On the other hand, as a life coach, I help others uproot the gifting that is already inside of them and really go through life with my clients and really change their perspective on who they are to who God says they are while putting together life goals for their future.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Yes, I have a specific project coming up that is not only going to impact myself but the creatives around the globe. I wish to create levels that will not only show different sides of a topic but also expand the mind.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
I think as a Writer, Life Coaching and Makeup Artist, nothing has ever been just a side hustle for me. I just didn’t believe in what was inside of me for so long that I would just write, write and rewrite the same dreams of the vision that God shows me about me being on TV, Hosting., taking pictures, writing and so much more. I didn’t believe in myself which caused me to put what I knew and the wisdom I had and store it away or be silent. I thought that no one would care or why even do it because no one ever listens to me anyway. When I began to believe in myself which took prayer, fasting, several heart breaks and all, I began to notice a difference about me and I lost a job a couple of years ago and I broke down in my car and called a sister at the time and I said “I’m useless” and after saying that she reminded me of all the gifting God put in me and ever since then I started my business in 2019 and have been rocking ever since.
