Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alexis Phan . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alexis , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
I knew when I first began thinking about a company name that I wanted to pay homage to my Asian roots. I also knew that I wanted it to spread the message of Love. Yeu means love in Vietnamese. So, the name of the brand is Love, the brand was created in love, and we just want to promote love in all its forms especially self-love. Through our products customers are able to gain a new sense of confidence and love the skin they are in. Thats what it’s all about.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Alexis and I own Yeu Body Care LLC. Yeu Body Care LLC is a natural skincare line that specializes in curing of dry and eczema prone skin, and hyperpigmentation naturally. I started in 2017 when my youngest son Mason developed a severe case of eczema. I wanted a natural alternative to the steroid cream his doctor prescribed. I researched what natural ingredients were good for skin issues and came up with my own formula. My son has been eczema free for over 4 years now.
We started off with one product, our signature body balm; and since have been able to branch out and expand our line to include a men’s collection as well as fun body sundaes, and body polishes! All 100% natural!
Our products contain no synthetic fragrances, parabens, sulfates, or preservatives and is affordably priced at $20 or below.
I am most proud of all of the wonderful feedback I receive from my customers. From newborns with sensitive skin, to the working woman who wants all day moisture and glow; to the gentlemen who has dry skin and has a dry beard; it makes me feel amazing know that my product makes a difference. That I am spreading love. It keeps me going!
I am also very proud of the brands integrity. You come across a lot of products that have natural or vegan labels on them but when you get to the meat of the ingredient list you find that there are synthetic fragrances and loads of chemicals. Their products may contain natural ingredients, but the finished product is not a natural product. My customers know they are getting a natural product and I believe that contributes to our growing success.
I am also currently working on onboarding for Walmart! So be on the lookout for Yeu in your local Walmart and online in the near future!
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I primarily keep in touch with my customers through my social media pages. I’m most active on Instagram right now. You know, engaging posts; I do polls and ask questions; I ask them their opinion on things, get their feedback. I let them know what’s going in in my personal life, we DM, we text. My customers are like extended family members. And I think THAT right there is what fosters brand loyalty. They know they aren’t just a customer; they are like family, and I treat them like family.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Being my authentic self. Showing more of my face, putting myself out there more. I’m very introverted, I would much rather be behind the scenes. But I knew that no one could tell the story of the brand and push the brand more than me.
The advice I would give is to just be yourself, don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. Experiment with different content to see what your audience likes. But most importantly, be yourself.
