Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alexis Mason. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alexis , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
The idea actually came suddenly to me. For years on end I had prayed and asked God what is my purpose? Having millions of ideas of what I could do but I wanted to know what would bring me the most fulfillment, joy and purpose. Knowing I love to help others just wasn’t enough. So one day I was sitting in my car and the words” life coach” came to mind and I was honestly confused, because I had no idea what a “life coach” was , so I immediately researched the career and what it entails, and I automatically knew that was my purpose and how I could help others reach their goals and full potential.
So I soon began thinking of a business name and what my business meant to me, which is when I developed the name Lavish Life Enterprises. The purpose behind my business is to help others realize they are worthy of living a lavish life of luxury from within and helping them arrive towards that goal together!
Alexis , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Becoming an entrepreneurs has been one the most challenging but yet rewarding experiences I’ve ever had, I learned early on that being an entrepreneur especially a successful one involves way more than just motivation. It involves discipline, perseverance, determination and resilience. When I first began I thought that my motivation would keep me interested but it slowly began to disappear and it even cause moments of frustration but that’s where discipline comes in. It’s important that I know that sometimes you won’t be motivated to work or want to deal with your business but know the more you discipline yourself to do things even when you don’t want to the more you’ll build discipline. After months of contemplating if I even wanted to continue my business due to the lack of clients, lack of revenue and social media attraction, I decided to continue my journey and in this action I’ve began creating resilience.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
Coming from working a traditional 9am-5pm job to being a business owner was huge transition that entail many changes. Coming from this background I was familiar with being told what to do ,when to do it ,and how to do it. Becoming an entrepreneur was exciting to me because I thought to myself “hey, I’m my own boss now” but I was quickly reminded that this was a huge challenge for me. I had to unlearn being instructed and begin instructing myself which was difficult to me. Being my own boss meant I couldn’t just take my laptop and sit in front of my television and attempt to do work. This is where discipline had to come in, I had to learn to put my wants behind my needs. I soon learned I had to become determined, productive and structured, I did this by creating a schedule that worked for me and allowed me to focus and get the most amount of work accomplished I possibly could in a day!
