We were lucky to catch up with Alexis Gonzalez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alexis, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
The mission of my company (Vibrate to Create) is to leave a lasting transformation in the lives of anyone who encounters the work that it produces. Vibrate to Create is a multi-media company that publishes books and produces educational content/events (online and in-person). I produce inspirational content about fields like spirituality, metaphysics, philosophy, and life.
This company means the world to me because it is not just a company–it is a culmination of my life’s work and study. I went on a seven-year-long journey that led me to other countries to meet various spiritual teachers and philosophers. My explorations led to a life full of beautiful memories and interactions with people, and eventually to a book that I could share with others to inspire them to do the same.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I grew up in a tumultuous upbringing and began my spiritual path when I was nineteen years old. My book “A Journey into Truth: Unveiling Life’s Secrets for Truth-Seekers” talks about my attempt at suicide, the health issues I grew up with, and the suffering I experienced, as well as how I got out of that dark place. My hope in sharing my own story was to inspire others to also go on their own personal journeys of healing. Because of my experiences, I became passionate about teaching people that no matter how horrible their life looks at the moment, there is the possibility for a “light at the end of the tunnel.” My story is an example of that.
My years of studies in metaphysics and philosophy led me into a modality called “Family Constellations,” which wound up becoming the work I knew I wanted to be a large focus of mine. Now I teach this in spiritual centers, sharing the knowledge that took me years to attain. I currently facilitate one on one Family Constellations and I also hold workshops where I help people work on issues that are causing pain in their lives. I also share those teachings on the Vibrate to Create YouTube channel, and I plan to publish more books in the future.
This is a fairly new modality, developed by Bert Hellinger. It is derived from a number of different modalities and has a profound effect in helping people to dissolve limiting beliefs and patterns. By understanding our family’s history and how it impacts us, we can begin to move forward in our lives with more freedom to choose our own destiny. I decided this would be my focus because it has caused the deepest change in my life out of all of the healing modalities I have encountered/studied.
I always tell people that “the best teachers are those who have been through it.” What sets me and my company apart is that I have experienced some extremely tough experiences. Having experienced what I have, I understand why people feel the way that they feel and can meet them wherever they are to help them along their journey of returning to their best selves.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
The making and publishing of my book was an experience that taught me about having the resilience to see a project through even when the going gets tough. Because I decided to self-publish my book, it meant that I would be the one to research every single detail that goes into the making of a book. I designed the interior of it and worked alongside other creatives to develop the cover/company logo. I also spent hours upon hours researching where and how to publish my book online so that people all around the world can purchase my books and have them delivered to their doorstep. Now that I have taken that journey once, I know how to do it with much less research time the next time I publish a book.
In the midst of time crunches to publish the book on a specific date, everything came together with time, hard work, and perseverance. This process developed my work ethic and proved to me that with determination you can create beautiful things–and learn so much all along the way.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being a writer/teacher is the interactions that I have had with the people who have read my book or listened to my teachings. Knowing that my stories and life experience have helped to shape and transform their lives in some way was the reason that I put so much hard work into creating my company and book. Without the reader on the other side to enjoy what I created, the book is just paper. The reader and their life on the other side of the book is what gives it meaning. The reader’s life gives the book life. I have heard that people have taken it with them on trips to read–and I find that so fun to know that my life is traveling with the lives of others, and will live on forever. My YouTube videos and book are an extension of me that gets to stay here long after I am gone.
