Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alexis Danielle. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alexis , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Alright, so we’d love to hear about how you got your first client or customer. What’s the story?
The very first dollar BDR Consultant Co. ever earned came from someone very special: my mom (cue the awws!) She is an instructional coach for the educational system. She needed a website completed for her business. I offered the service for free. She was extremely persistent to pay. She would repeat daily: “How much do I owe? You deserve every dollar for your services. I believe in you and I understand the value of what you are providing to my business.” After hearing her say those words and persistently reminding me of my value, I finally told her the cost of the service. She asked for my invoice and paid it the same day.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
We build aspiring entrepreneurs to bridge the gap between vision and reality by crafting sustainable businesses with tailored plans and structures. We also bridge the knowledge gap between business fundamentals and the implementation of that same knowledge.
I have always been the person that people would consultant with about ideas that could be a business. Everyone would tell me that they feel inspired after they talk to me. So, I decided to build a consultant business to help aspiring entrepreneurs. We have developed a business planner that guides entry entrepreneurs to build their business from idea. We have a team of business owners that coach and mentor mentalities, processes and systems, and growth strategies.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I believe showing up authentically and introducing the business with a “serve first” attitude to new and potential clients set a tone for who BDR was, When me and The Firm show up to any event or class, we introduce ourselves with a serving attitude. We are here to help people make their dreams a reality. The serving attitude compelled our clients to boast and refer our services to those who need us.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
Yes, for my financial entrepreneurial mindset, I have read Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. I have taken Myron Golden as my virtual mentor. His Youtube channel has multiple videos that cover many entrepreneurial concepts He has broken down many concepts in business that I implement and see/have seen results. And lastly, my leadership and management comes from every John Maxwell book available.
