Alexis , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?

I hope that my legacy will be one of inspiration. I am a black girl from Blytheville, AR, a small rural town of little opportunity. I’ve pivoted, I’ve taken risks, I’ve played it safe, I’ve broken out of my shell , I’ve discovered myself, I am a relentless go getter. I hope that my life is my legacy; that my choices and my path is an inspiration to others to go after their dreams and don’t stop until they reach them. And when they reach them, I hope they realize their power and dream even bigger. I just hope to touch lives in an inspirational way, I want people to think of me and feel empowered.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I am Alexis Betts, a Dallas based creator, who is just getting started. I am a full time exercise physiologist when I am not creating content. I am a lover of all things enjoyment and peace. I am new to the influencer/creator industry, but I didn’t choose the industry, I genuinely believe it has chosen me. Being in this industry forces me to see myself, step out of my comfort zone and truly have fun with life. Within this industry I focus on lifestyle and fashion content. I display my unique sense of style, aiming to provide outfit or fashion inspiration to others. My lifestyle content is me allowing people to see pieces of me I typically wouldn’t show, vacations, my routine, and my journey. I don’t think a certain thing sets me apart from other influencers, I am simply being myself. I am most proud of taking this industry serious, I would have never guessed I could build a platform and brand for merely being myself and highlighting my everyday life.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

A goal or mission driving my creative journey is freedom. I aim to become a full-time influencer in the next 3-6 months. I want the freedom, physically and financially, to grow and time to create. I’ve grown a passion for the editing side of creating content and hope to offer creative directing services as my creative skills continue to grow to a higher level.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

For me I believe the most rewarding aspect of creating is putting out content that resonates with others. For me it is not about the likes or followers, but I do aim to create enjoyable content for my audience.
