Alexis, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea

Royal Tipz is not only a nail salon. We also offer high-quality nail supplies for both beginner and advanced nail technicians.

I started the online nail supply in the summer of 2020 in the middle of the covid 19 pandemic. We started our nail supply with only 2 products to offer. We all know that eyelashes are essential to a woman’s beauty. I got the idea to start selling this product when I noticed there was a need for quality lashes. The other product was our swaggy tags. This is too an essential product not only for clients but for nail technicians as well. Swaggy Tags are reusable tags for pulling out credit cards, debit cards, ID, and store cards from your wallet with no hassle. This product is perfect for short nails, arthritis, and long nails. They also come in many sizes and trendy designs.

I wanted to expand my nail supply because at this time I wasn’t only looking at Royal Tipz as a nail salon I looked at it as a brand. I wanted to be able to branch out and start branding and the only way for me to do that was to add more essential products to our nail supply

I started searching for quality nail supply vendors. It was a struggle because I ran into a lot of vendors that didn’t fit the exact criteria that I was looking for. Of course, that means there was a lot of money wasted on testers and samples. I didn’t allow it to discourage me. During the summer of 2021, I settled in with an amazing vendor for my nail products. I launched Royal Tipz nail supply with multiple products such as quality nail brushes, nail practice stands, dapping dishes, eyelashes, and more.

We have recently launched our very own Spring collection which includes beautiful pastel colors such as Peachy sunset, Mint to be, fairy dust, banana split, iris, & flamingo. We also launched our nude collection this spring as well.

Royal Tipz’s online nail supply store will continue to grow. We are now looking for other nail supply brands and nail technicians here in Houston to collaborate with.

Alexis, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Royal Tipz was founded in 2018. I decided to get into the industry because I wasn’t happy with my current job at the time. It started as something that I found joy in doing on the side and eventually took off to be my main source of income. Once I decided to go full-time with my nail business, I enrolled in cosmetology school for my nail technician license. During the time I was forced to relearn everything that I thought I knew. I am completely open to being receptive to new information and a new environment. Pearland innovative taught me the discipline that I needed to be successful in the nail industry. I also started reading more books to mentally prepare myself to be a business owner.

I was able to open up my service list after school. I now offer a variety of services and unique add-ons that my clients and future clients would love.

What makes my business different from any other is that I refuse to be comfortable with where I am. I will always be open to learning new skills and techniques from master nail techs. I will continue to do my research and take classes on different services that I feel will best benefit my clients. Royal Tipz doesn’t only offer acrylic full sets. We offer luxury pedicures, and acrylic nails, long and short, we also offer dip nails, Gel X extensions, and soak-offs. We are also adding more luxury add-ons that are very beneficial to longer-lasting pedicures and full sets.

Today I am a proud owner of Royal Tipz located in Houston Tx near the NRG area, On top of the luxury services we offer here we also provide high-quality products like 25 mm mink lashes, and high pigmented acrylics, nail tools, and accessories. I’m so excited about the future of my business. we will continue to grow and expand.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

When covid19 hit, it shut down the physical world and people were forced to stay home. Almost everything shifted to an online space. Social media was now the main source of getting information discovering or learning about new products and services.

I believe the best source of getting new clients has been my presence on social media. From Facebook to Instagram and Twitter, I have received most of my clients. I believe in always putting out great content for my followers and potential clients. Even if I don’t get a ton of views on a certain post I know to never underestimate the impact of a positive experience with my brand or company on social media.

It’s very important to always create a positive and memorable experience on socal media. Not only does a positive experience via social encourage a customer to purchase from my brand, but they’re also more likely to choose my brand over competitors and recommend
my brand to their audience
