Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alexia P. Bullard. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alexia P., appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
I have a speech disability and a chronic illness, both of which I have spent countless hours reading about from any reference I could. About ten years ago, I became exhausted by the amount of available content and articles that didn’t seem to actually say anything that was of help — it was full of sales pitches for products I neither needed nor could afford.
That is when I decided I wanted to be part of facilitating a change in available information. As a content marketer and business writer, I am able to provide people with information that addresses their concerns and issues, while also helping the business owner to grow their brand.
Education and consumer value are at the core of my work, as I want to help people through my writing. With the cannabis industry, they received information on the science of the plant, how it helps, and which types of products would be effective and provide therapeutic relief for their ailments or issues. In the pet industry, consumers receive information on how to better care for their pets and/or know what to do when issues arise.
I frequently say: Write for humans, not search engines. You must provide value to be of value.
Alexia P., love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started as a freelance copywriter in 2013 and then, in 2014, started my freelance content marketing service, Booklexia Content Marketing. I provide full-service digital marketing to businesses across several industries, with three tiers of monthly marketing packages available. The marketing services I provide focus on content production and customer experience, and are individually tailored to each client. I’ve worked with businesses in the mental health, B2B, tech, cannabis, and pet care industries.
I am most proud of the way the content I’ve created that has helped consumers find the product(s) they need to improve their life and/or address their ailments and issues. Additionally, I am proud of a past client (a cannabis app) for whom I did content marketing getting into Forbes with a full article feature, in which I was also quoted.
The marketing services I provide are focused on customer education and experience. Creating for people, not search engines, is the primary theme of my work.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
After marketing for the cannabis industry for more than five years, I felt it was time to pivot the focus of my business. I started providing content marketing services for the pet care industry in December of 2022, with three tiers of monthly marketing packages available.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
The primary mission of my creative journey is to help others. I strive to provide my clients’ brand audiences with informative, value-driven resources that address concerns, answer pressing questions, and help guide them through purchasing decisions.
