We were lucky to catch up with Alexia Cracken recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alexia, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
Well, it’s funny how life works sometimes. I remember it like it was yesterday, although it’s been years now. I was about Sixteen years old when my mom gave me my first camera. It all started as a hobby, until I took some classes, that’s when I knew I wanted to become a photographer and travel the world with my camera.

Alexia, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a Photographer, I started when I was 16 years old, in my home country, Argentina. I always knew I wanted to do something related to art. My mom gave me my first camera and I knew it was what I wanted to do. Funny part is that no one in my family does anything with art, I’m the first one.
My main focus is landscape and portrait, but I’m not limited to other types of photography. I love nature so I’m known for my landscape photos.
Like I always say every photographer is different, our art is unique, so that’s what sets us apart.
I am now living in the United states, making my best to keep my small photography business alive.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Photography allows you to convey your thoughts, emotions, and perspectives through visual storytelling. Creating images that reflect your unique vision, the ability to document and immortalize experiences can be incredibly rewarding. Also the process of creating art pushes you to explore your creativity, develop technical skills, and think critically. This continuous learning and growth can be personally fulfilling.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
Society should recognize the value of artistic work to cultural and societal development. Creating and maintaining spaces for artists to exhibit their work, is essential. Galleries, public spaces, and online platforms can all serve as avenues for artists to share their creations with a wider audience. Same as encouraging individuals or businesses to actively support the arts through sponsorships, and partnerships can provide artists with the financial stability they need to pursue their passions.
