We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Alexandria Wilson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alexandria, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?

The name of my company is True Boss Beauty Co. I’ve always called myself Girl Boss Alexxx. When I started out I knew that I wanted Boss to be in my company name but I knew that I couldn’t use girl boss. To be a Boss you have to be True to yourself so I decided to use True Boss. As a business owner, I promise to be true to my current and future customers.

True Boss Beauty Co. is a beauty supply store based in Atlanta, GA. We offer luxury bundles at an affordable price. Our team is here to help you feel and look amazing.

We ship worldwide, we offer free delivery in Metro Atlanta area and we offer pay in 4 options.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

I thought being an Entrepreneur was going to be easy. There are so many things I had to learn about running a business. I’ve had to determine my target audience. Social Media isn’t the only outlet, you literally have to show up and show out for your business. I have the most success at pop up shops!

One thing I’ve learned is that it is okay if my friends and family members don’t shop with me because I might not have what they are into , or what they want

Do you have multiple revenue streams – if so, can you talk to us about those streams and how your developed them?

True Boss Beauty Co doesn’t have multiple revenue streams yet. However, a True Boss Beauty Vending Machine is in the works.
