We were lucky to catch up with Alexandria Rhinehart recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alexandria, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
In March 2022, I began exploring the idea of investing in a franchise. I was looking for something that not only matched my interests but was also financially rewarding. After discussing the idea with my mom, she suggested that I create my own brand. This suggestion resonated with me, given my experience with startups and my freelance work in branding and web design.
I started envisioning the type of business I wanted to build, drawing inspiration from my love for beauty and luxury. I spent hours on Pinterest, searching for ideas and images, with a clear vision of creating something unique for the area—think lime wash walls, boucle furniture, and a sophisticated neutral color palette. This was a stark contrast to the typical pink and girly beauty bars.
Once I put together my mood board, I began brainstorming services and researching what would be profitable. This research led to the creation of a detailed business plan, which only fueled my excitement further. I mapped out all the necessary steps to turn my salon concept into reality: finding a location, securing supplies and furniture, organizing print materials, and obtaining funding.
By May and June, I had secured six figures in funding and a space that was perfectly suited for my business. I proceeded to order furniture and supplies that matched my vision, obtained insurance, set up payroll, and began the hiring process. With my staff in place, I organized a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening, which took place at the end of July. The transition from idea to execution happened quickly and smoothly!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
To keep your team motivated and maintain high morale, focus on open and honest communication. Make an effort to listen to your team’s ideas, feedback, and concerns. Regular check-ins can help address any issues early and keep everyone aligned with the team’s goals. When team members feel heard and understood, it creates a more inclusive environment where they’re more likely to stay engaged and productive.
Creating a positive work environment is also key to sustaining high morale. Make it a point to recognize and celebrate both individual and team achievements. Whether it’s through public praise, small rewards, or team celebrations, showing appreciation for hard work helps reinforce a sense of accomplishment and motivates everyone to keep striving for success. Acknowledging contributions helps build a culture of respect and enthusiasm.
Supporting your team’s work-life balance and professional growth can further boost morale. Encourage them to take time for personal interests and avoid burnout, and provide opportunities for skills development and career advancement. By showing that you value their well-being and growth, you help keep your team motivated and committed, fostering a more positive and productive work environment overall.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
As an avid reader with a deep interest in Hermeticism, Mentalism, and Self-Concept, I’ve found that a wide range of resources has significantly shaped my management and entrepreneurial philosophy. While it’s challenging to pinpoint just a few influential books or essays, these concepts have profoundly impacted how I approach both personal development and business strategy. They offer valuable insights into the power of the mind and the importance of understanding oneself, which I believe are crucial for effective leadership and entrepreneurship.
One resource that captures the essence of these influences is my library and blog, “Alexandria’s Alchemy.” This collection of posts explores how Hermetic principles and mental frameworks can be applied to various aspects of life, including business. It provides a space where I share reflections and insights on how these philosophies contribute to my approach to managing teams and pursuing entrepreneurial ventures.
By integrating the principles of Hermeticism and Mentalism into my daily practices, I’ve been able to cultivate a mindset that embraces both strategic thinking and personal growth. These resources have helped me navigate challenges, foster a positive work environment, and stay focused on my goals. If you’re interested in exploring these ideas further, “Alexandria’s Alchemy” offers a comprehensive look at how these philosophies can enhance your own journey in management and entrepreneurship.
