Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alexandria Lemon. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alexandria, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
The first time I realized I wanted to pursue a creative path professionally was actually during my marketing career. I started off focused on campaign strategy and data, but over time, I found myself gravitating toward the creative side – designing social media content, building visuals in Adobe and Canva, writing email copy, and crafting the storytelling that brings a campaign to life. I was so energized by that process that I started thinking, maybe I could do this not just for my company, but for others too.
That thought pushed me to start my own small agency on the side, where I offered creative marketing services to small businesses. I took everything I had learned in my professional role – how to build brand consistency, write copy that converts, and design assets that actually drive engagement — and applied it to help other brands grow. Seeing those businesses flourish through work I created was such an affirming moment. It was proof that creativity could be both my passion and my profession.
That experience eventually inspired me to turn my creative skills inward and build something personal – my lifestyle and food brand, Greedy Girls Atlanta. It started as a passion project where I could merge storytelling, design, and digital marketing with something I genuinely love – exploring Atlanta’s restaurant scene. Over the years, I’ve grown it into a community-driven brand with thousands of followers, partnerships, and content that resonates across social platforms.
Now, I feel like I’m at this full-circle point where my professional marketing expertise and my creative influencer journey feed into one another. I understand both the data-driven side of marketing and the creative storytelling that captures people’s attention and that balance is what fuels everything I do today.

Alexandria, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Alexandria Lemon, but most people know me as Alex – a marketing professional turned creative entrepreneur and content creator. By day, I manage global marketing campaigns for a technology company, and by night, I run Greedy Girls Atlanta, a lifestyle and food brand that celebrates great dining, style, and experiences in and around Atlanta.
My path into this world wasn’t something I planned – it unfolded naturally. Working in marketing, I was responsible for campaign strategy, but I found myself drawn to the creative side of the work: designing visuals, writing copy, shaping narratives, and creating cohesive campaigns that made people feel something. That creative curiosity grew into skill, and over time, I realized I was just as passionate about the artistry behind marketing as the analytics.
Eventually, I began taking on small business clients – designing their social content, creating branded visuals, and helping them build consistent online presences. Watching their growth made me think, “If I can do this for others, what would it look like to do it for myself?” That’s when Greedy Girls Atlanta was born.
Greedy Girls started as a food and lifestyle page where my best friend and I shared our love for exploring new restaurants. Over the years, it’s evolved into a recognizable brand that blends dining, culture, fashion, and community. What sets it apart is the authenticity – I’m not just showing food or outfits; I’m telling stories, curating experiences, and giving people a front-row seat to the joy of living well and indulging in the things that make life beautiful.
Through Greedy Girls, I’ve built a genuine community, collaborated with brands, and helped followers discover local gems and memorable experiences. But at the heart of it, what makes my work different is that I approach content like a marketer and a creator. I understand how to make content look beautiful, but also how to make it work – how to connect it to strategy, storytelling, and measurable growth.
What I’m most proud of is the balance I’ve built – I’ve taken my professional marketing expertise and turned it into something deeply personal. I want people who come across my brand to feel inspired, seen, and reminded that you can build something that’s both creative and profitable, fun and meaningful.
Ultimately, Greedy Girls Atlanta is about more than food – it’s about creating a life that feels good, looks good, and tells a story worth sharing.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
One of the biggest pivots I’ve had to make in both my career and personal life came when I got married and became a first-time mom. Before that, I was pouring everything I had into my brand – constantly creating, networking, posting, and growing Greedy Girls Atlanta. I was in a rhythm where my work and creativity consumed most of my time, and honestly, I loved it. But life has a way of shifting your priorities.
When I became a mom, everything changed. My perspective, my schedule, my energy – all of it had to adjust. I realized quickly that as much as I wanted to give 100 percent to my brand, my career, and my family, I couldn’t give all of myself to everything at once. Trying to do it all was the quickest path to burnout, and I had to learn to give myself grace.
That pivot taught me balance – real balance. It meant slowing down in some areas, setting boundaries, and redefining what success looked like. It wasn’t about giving up on my dreams; it was about finding a sustainable rhythm that allowed me to be present for my family and still nurture my creative passions.
Now, I approach everything differently. I plan smarter, I delegate when I can, and I make space for rest and family time without guilt. That season taught me that creativity thrives when you take care of yourself first. I’m proud of how I’ve evolved because it’s made me more intentional not just as a content creator and marketing professional, but as a wife, mom, and woman.

How did you build your audience on social media?
The biggest factor in building my audience on social media has been consistency, plain and simple. When I first started Greedy Girls Atlanta, I didn’t have a huge following, and I definitely didn’t have it all figured out. What I did have was a clear passion for what I was creating and a commitment to show up, even when growth felt slow.
In the beginning, I used to compare myself to others. I’d see creators around me gaining followers faster or landing big collaborations, and it was easy to feel like I was behind. But over time, I realized that comparison only drains your creativity. Everyone grows at their own pace, and your journey is yours alone. Once I shifted my mindset from competition to consistency, everything changed.
What has really helped me grow is being consistent in every way – not just how often I post, but how clearly my brand shows up. The tone, the visuals, the message, they all align. People know a Greedy Girls post the moment they see it, and that’s something I’m really proud of.
My advice for anyone just starting out would be: focus less on perfection and more on showing up. Stay true to your brand, post with purpose, and keep your message consistent across every platform. You might not see results overnight, but if you stay the course, you’ll be amazed at the community that forms around your work. And trust me, it still surprises me every time someone recognizes me in public from my brand. That’s the power of staying consistent and authentic.
