Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alexandria Cozzolino. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Alexandria thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One of our favorite things to brainstorm about with friends who’ve built something entrepreneurial is what they would do differently if they were to start over today. Surely, there are things you’ve learned that would allow you to do it over faster, more efficiently. We’d love to hear how you would go about setting things up if you were starting over today, knowing everything that you already know.
I feel when I started my food Instagram I would of done it differently knowing what I know now. I would of started with engaging with my audience. I would of asked more questions in order to have individuals come together. Another thing I would of done was trying to follow different accounts right away and engage in the community. I was stuck at around 100 followers for 3 years. But I’m 2021 I started expanding going up into 3,000 followers. If I did that from the start of 2017 it would of been different.

Alexandria , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I got into food blogging in 2017 simply because I love food. I wanted to post my photos somewhere so I thought “why not make an account!”
I am very proud with the pictures and posts I create! I feel that I put allot of thought of how I want my photos to flow together.
I love engaging on this account and finding new food accounts that I can interact with!

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
I goal of mine is to have sponsorships with companies that I believe in. I have been promoting different companies that I find come out with great food!

How did you build your audience on social media?
As I mentioned briefly, I started my account in 2017. From 2017 to 2021 I was stuck with 130 followers. What I did to grow was joining group chats where we interact with other foodies and engage on the posts they have. I also starting looking through my suggested and interacted with other accounts who also followed me back.
I feel that if you want to grow a following the first thing is to tell your loved ones. Let them support you and share what you are selling or posting about. That way you grow a foundation of followers! Then make sure if anyone interacts with you, you do not ignore it and engage with them.
