We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Alexandria (Alex Nicole) Garza a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Alexandria (Alex Nicole), thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
You should know to never let your dream die. My husband and I are thrilled to announce the realization of a dream that was conceived over two decades ago. We are introducing a new children’s entertainment property comprising music, books, and an animated series tailored for kids aged three to five. In 2017, my husband experienced a devastating stroke that rendered him unable to walk. Nevertheless, this misfortune was not without a silver lining. It propelled me to personally pursue digital marketing to sustain us, but more importantly, it reignited a long-dormant dream. Following some profound discussions after the stroke, I asked my husband about his legacy and what he hoped to accomplish before his departure from this world. His answer was simple yet profound “to see Ito and Ita brought to life”. That was all I needed to hear to fire me up about sharing our digital creation with the world, with the confidence that together we will leave a lasting impact.
Alexandria (Alex Nicole), before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
At the heart of our brand lies a focus on Creativity! Through my private Facebook group Creativeprenuer Conversations, I strive to teach, entertain and nurture the growth of creative entrepreneurs. When I am not engaged in these activities, I manage DigitalFruit.io, a digital marketing agency dedicated to helping service-based businesses thrive by creating compelling story brands and supported by digital advertising.
The intention is that the skillsets that I have gained over the last decade are soon to be utilized as we build and grow our digital cartoon family named Ito and Ita. These adventurous five-year-old twins are eager to explore the world alongside your little ones. Our edutainment offerings delve into a range of topics such as cultures, languages, the alphabet, numbers, friendship, family, faith, kindness, and love!
We are actively seeking involvement from our friends and family who share our passion for providing impactful edutainment experiences for the next generation. We are looking to engage parents and families alike to guide us in the creative process as well.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
I think the most rewarding aspect of being creative is the ability to create. Much of what guides both of us is our faith in God. The fact that in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, is a promise that this gift has existed since the dawn of time. It truly allows us to be free, and when we stifle or dismiss it, we dampen our existence. I am convinced that if more people allowed themselves to create – whatever that may be – they would find joy and peace beyond mere happiness.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
First and foremost, I don’t believe that people are non-creative. Rather, I believe that most individuals have never challenged themselves to tap into their creativity. Creativity is not only expressed through artistic pursuits, but also in finance, parenting, and problem-solving. In fact, if you are adept at problem-solving, you are engaging in creative thinking.
Moreover, creativity is contagious. If you have a “creative” friend, spending time with them will spark new ideas and help you see opportunities and solutions that you never thought were possible.
