We recently connected with Alexandra Osudoh and have shared our conversation below.
Alexandra, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard.
One of the ways Essentielle Studio stands out from the industry standard is how we approach brand design as a collaborative and intuitive experience. A lot of agencies focus on fast turnarounds, pre-made templates, or visuals that follow trends, but for us, it’s deeper than that. We’re not just creating a logo or a color palette — we’re helping people reconnect with their story and build a brand that actually feels like them.
Our process starts with brand clarity sessions that are more like real conversations. We talk about the heart behind their work, their lived experiences, and the legacy they want to build. I work with a lot of women of color and creatives, and I’ve found that when there’s space to slow down, reflect, and be seen, the work becomes more meaningful — and the results naturally reflect that.
What makes us different is that we don’t treat branding like a checklist. We take our time, ask intentional questions, and focus on building trust. That allows us to create brand identities that feel grounded, elevated, and aligned — not just pretty for the moment, but something that can grow with them long term.
At Essentielle, we lead with intention, care, and clarity. It’s not just about creating something beautiful. It’s about creating something honest, impactful, and lasting — and that’s what makes the difference.

Alexandra, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Alexandra Osudoh and I’m the founder of The Essentielle Studio, a brand and creative studio where strategy and storytelling come together to create thoughtful, elevated brands designs. My background is in art, marketing, and design, but I’ve always been drawn to the emotional side of branding — the way visuals, language, and presence can shape how people connect with a business or a creative project.
I officially started the studio after spending years working on small design projects throughout college and realizing how much I enjoyed helping people bring their ideas to life from the ground up. I didn’t just want to make things look nice, I wanted to help people feel proud of how they were showing up. That’s what led me to build a studio rooted in clarity, intention, and refined creativity.
At Essentielle, I offer brand identity design, website design, and graphic design. services. This looks different for every client, but it usually involves building the full visual foundation for a brand, from logo and typography to creative direction and brand styling, all guided by strategy and storytelling. I also support clients with brand audits, mini refreshes, and long-term creative consulting and design projects when needed. Most of the people I work with are vision-driven founders, creatives, and service providers who are ready to take their presence to the next level but want to do it in a way that feels aligned. They’re not looking for a quick fix. They want something thoughtful, lasting, and reflective of their growth.
I think what sets my work apart is my eye for detail and my ability to listen between the lines. I take my time with each project and really focus on helping clients uncover the essence of what makes their brand unique. It’s not about doing what everyone else is doing. It’s about creating something that feels like them and stands the test of time.
What I’m most proud of is building a studio that allows me to support others in doing meaningful work, while staying true to my own creative voice. I’ve grown so much through this process, both personally and professionally, and it means a lot to know that something I created is helping others show up with more confidence and clarity.
For anyone getting to know me or Essentielle Studio, I want you to know that this is a space for intentional design and growth. A space where your ideas are taken seriously, your story is honored, and your brand is designed to support the bigger vision you’re building toward.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
The heart of my creative journey is rooted in helping people feel seen. My mission has always been to create with intention and to use design as a tool for clarity, confidence, and connection. Especially as a woman of color in the creative industry, I know how powerful it is to have a brand that reflects who you are and what you stand for.
My work is guided by values like authenticity, thoughtfulness, and care. Through Essentielle Studio, I’m driven by the goal of building brands that feel aligned from the inside out. It’s not just about making something visually beautiful. It’s about making something that honors the story, the vision, and the growth behind it. I want every client I work with to walk away not just with a brand they love, but with a deeper understanding of themselves and what they’re building.
Long term, I’m also passionate about using my skills to pour into underrepresented communities. Whether it’s through mentorship, creative education, or collaboration, I want to create more access and opportunity for others to tap into their own creativity and purpose.
My journey is still evolving, but it’s always led by intention, rooted in my values, and centered around helping others bring their vision to life in a way that feels true!

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding part of being a creative is seeing something that started as an idea come to life in a way that feels real and meaningful not just for me, but for the people I’m creating for. There’s something really special about watching a client light up when they see their brand reflect who they are for the first time. That feeling never gets old.
I also see my creativity as a gift from God. It’s something that has always come naturally to me, and I truly believe it’s a way He’s called me to serve others. Being able to use that gift to help people feel seen, understood, and more confident in their vision is something I don’t take lightly. It’s a big part of what keeps me grounded and aligned in this work.
I love the freedom and possibility that comes with being a creative. There are no limits to what you can build or express. I get to blend strategy and storytelling with design, and every project is a new opportunity to explore something deeper. It’s also incredibly rewarding to look back and see how much I’ve grown, not just as a designer, but as a person. This path has taught me to trust myself, embrace my voice, and lean into what feels true, even when it doesn’t look like what everyone else is doing. That part means a lot to me too.
