Hi Alexandra , thanks for joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
I was working in a high-speed corporation company, and I decided one day to bet on myself. I decided to take a leap of faith and launch my marketing firm after 20 years. When I made that decision, I did not have a customer in mind however I did have a marketing plan and, I knew what my niche was and who my target audience would be. I started as a full-service marketing firm specializing in digital marketing, and business development. We have expanded our services by adding website design, SEO, content creation, and lead generation. Our company goal is to help businesses grow from every touch point. The lead generation side of the business right now is producing very well. I quickly realized how important it was for companies to have a lead machine working to help them build their pipeline. With our lead generation program, we feed their sales team, so they never have to worry about when their next business is coming. We are constantly building, and we become part of their company and an extension of the team.
I’m getting ready to celebrate my third anniversary and I’m beyond proud and excited for the future of Xandra Marketing & PR Firm.


Alexandra , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started my career working for Enterprise Rent-A-Car and I quickly went into their marketing department, this is over 20 years ago now. I, however, got into the Commercial Real Estate business with CORT Furniture and have been here ever since. What I provide for my customers through Xandra Marketing is a full-service marketing firm specializing in coaching and consulting. We help business owners become the best in the industry. When a customer works with us, we want to make them feel like they are our only client. That’s our BRAND!


How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I started my business a few months before the pandemic hit. I could not believe it, however, being a natural fighter for what I want, I immediately knew I had to pivot. What I did as a company with my team was, I decided to quickly go virtual and start helping businesses get opportunities and keep them in front of their customer’s. I first created a digital marketing plan. Secondly, I provided coaching & online mastermind classes to help those that were struggling to reach out to their customers being that they cannot see them in person. This plan took off and I have to say I helped a lot of businesses during the pandemic, what a blessing. However, internally we learned what the customers needed was a lead-generating machine which we later created as part of our services.


What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
The number one thing that helped me build my relationships was my networking alliances. I’ve built some amazing relationships and once I launched my business, they all showed up for me to support and help me grow by referring business to me. The lesson here was I put the work in to establish these long-lasting relationships by showing up and doing what I said I was going to do. This built a lot of credibility for me, and people felt comfortable and confident with referring business to me. They knew I would always give the red-carpet service. Show up and be consistent. You are your BRAND and that’s what people remember.
