We were lucky to catch up with Alexandra Grace recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alexandra , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your creative career sooner or later?
I started doing art professionally when I was 18 and I’m so glad I did, I’m about to turn 21 and the friends I’ve made and experiences I’ve had being in this profession is unmatched, I love knowing no matter what else I do in life I always have this creative space and community

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’ve always been into something art related drawing, painting, sculpting etc. My favorite medium ended up being acrylic painting, which is now what I do full time! A lot of my paintings are inspired by my travels, I’m always off to the next city/state/country and enjoy pulling inspiration from different places and experiences. I take a limited amount of commissions, but absolutely love working with my clients to create something special for them to keep forever. I’m also now teaching private lessons, it’s so much fun to have a creative laid back learning environment and helping people learn more about my favorite thing and develop their skills!

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Getting people in the creative mindset again, I’ve had numerous people say to me that seeing my work made them want to start painting again or drawing again. Art is something a lot of people forget about or grow out of and it’s great to see people excited to get back into it
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Local Art leagues or groups are a fantastic way to get you and your art out there, make friends with other artists bounce ideas off each other. Find some art shows to exhibit at, Basically socializing with other artists is the best advice I can give
