Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alexandra Gore. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alexandra, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
My mission is Inspired by the profound experience of losing my mom to cancer, I turned to the art of jewelry making as a therapeutic outlet. Channeling my grief into the creation of meaningful pieces, working with crystals became a journey of self-discovery. Through this craft, I not only found peace in the creative process but also embarked on a transformative path towards self-love and healing. My mission is to share this journey, using the beauty of handcrafted jewelry to inspire others in their own paths of healing and self-discovery.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
In the face of a significant loss and the newfound responsibility of raising my 14-year-old brother, I sought solace and financial stability through the art of jewelry design. Choosing this path not only served as a personal outlet but also addressed the financial challenges of caring for my sibling. What brings me the greatest pride is the impact my creations have had on women, nurturing a divine connection to self through carefully selected crystals. I’ve been privileged to assist countless women on their journey to self-love, using my jewelry as a source of empowerment and healing.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
The recent pivotal point in my life occurred with the arrival of my son. Returning from maternity leave, I was confronted with a corporate downsizing email. In that moment, I decided to depart from the big corporate world and invest in myself. It became clear that my nine years with the company weren’t valued, and I needed to redirect that dedication toward my own growth. Choosing not to place my baby in daycare, I embarked on a full-fledged entrepreneurial journey. Though there’s still a road ahead, this decision has proven to be one of the most fulfilling and rewarding choices I’ve made.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A lesson I’ve had to unlearn and continue to work on is self-doubt. Making mistakes, like everyone does, created a barrier in my self-trust. Rebuilding a healthier relationship with myself involved shedding the need for external validation. Understanding that nurturing and people-pleasing exist at opposite ends of the spectrum. I’ve embraced the importance of prioritizing my inner growth and self-assurance over seeking approval from others. It’s an ongoing process, but each step reinforces my commitment to a more authentic and self-affirming path.
