We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Alexander Novicki a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Alexander, thanks for joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
One thing that gets me fired up more than anything is hearing the term “Keep your day job”.
Especially within an industry with so much growth and opportunity.
Like, why wouldn’t you inspire and instruct people on getting a job right out the gate?
Anyway, I do this thing sometimes where I give myself no choice because I know it’s harder to take a big leap forward if you’re taking little steps back. So I quit my ““ day job “ and started working at a big Box massage place it sucked and the pay was horrible but I knew that’s what I needed to give myself pressure to want to work for myself. Because that that was always the goal I didn’t know what that look like exactly but I knew that I wanted to walk into my own office have my own art on the walls of my own clients and ultimately help people get out of pain. And continuing on I was looking up practitioners to kind of shadow or apprentice and just figure out how they make it work so I did that. I ended up working with a practitioner that had some very cool clients and I learned so much so quickly and then funny enough decided to part ways and go rent space of South Lamar at a really cool location and this was in February 2020 that I signed my lease, one month later, everything is shut down so from there I was making videos for clients that needed just some self-care homework so I decided to be more efficient. I should make a Instagram account add them on it and just upload the videos for them then I had friends follow and re-post. They said it was super helpful so I kept going and Didn’t stop as time went on I was getting clients from my Instagram meeting new people. I hate saying that I started at a disadvantage, but I think everybody was struggling at that time, and to get my business off the ground in the middle of a pandemic was not easy, but it was also a good time to do it in hindsight, because they were so many people after a year that just needed the work so badly, I thought about quitting multiple times, but I made it this far and I feel fulfilled and excited for the future. I get to help people for a living!
Alexander, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I help people get out of pain and stay on track to feeling their best.
Through bodywork that focuses on releasing Fascia (connective tissue), and trigger points.
Andddd giving you the selfcare tools you need to help maintain so you can sustain.
I’m proud of my clients for taking that step forward into selfcare. My goal is to help as many people as possible so they can live their best life.

Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
Confidence and Self Awareness.
Trust is everything!
If you give off a weird, uncertain vibe, people are not going to rebook.
Don’t be weird.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
My clients. Word of mouth is the best tool.
I have an Instagram with helpful content and that helps but someone telling their friend to see me is *chefs kiss.
