Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alexander Ladouceur. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Alexander thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So, folks often look at a successful business and think it became a success overnight – but that often obscures all the nitty, gritty details of everything that went into the growth phase of your business. We’d love to hear about your scaling story and how you scaled up?
Working hard and taking a lot of risk benefited myself and my business through the many years of doing photography. Everything matters of how you work with others, no matter how good of an artist you may be. My clientele has skyrocketed about 70-80% more than a year ago because I kept true to my work and kept true to my work ethics. Showing up 15-30 minutes early, calling/texting to give a heads up, having quick turnarounds, being honest and real, keep it fun and friendly, and being polite are all my trades in keeping my business successful. I see my future as this: I work with 1 clientele, a chain of events occur, thus creating more opportunities and experiences for my future.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My brand company name is Alex ladoucuer photography LLC. My brand on social media is ALXLA Photography, shorten so it’s just my initials, making it easier to find! My art showcasing is branded by lifestyle/street photography, as I want to showcase that I like to shoot everything and want to keep a variety, Most of my notable work is shooting events and concerts, because I specialize capturing candids as well as capturing timed moments. I also create a lot of edits as well as providing fast turnaround times. I like making a scene feel several different moods, which I generally like having a clientele decide to choose from several options that I make.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I believe just making smarter risk as well as maintaining a level of grind that I have a high passion for.. I also believe that if I stay till the very end, a possible lifetime opportunity may arise, no matter who or where I work for. I keep a friendly business relationship with all my clients because, while I treat it as a professional, I still view it as a major fun hobby as mine. I’m here to work with people that like my work and I am here to provide them with a service that I love doing.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
The more you work, the faster the build is. You would be surprised on how many people love following photographers especially working at a show. Everyone needs them, everyone loves them, and everyone needs their photos lol. I’ve seen people climb higher and I’ve seen people climb slower. There are different stretegies that works in so many ways, you just gotta find whatever is comfortable for you. But on the real deal, followers don’t mean anything, it’s who you know and how well you work!
