Alexander, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today One deeply underappreciated facet of entrepreneurship is the kind of crazy stuff we have to deal with as business owners. Sometimes it’s crazy positive sometimes it’s crazy negative, but crazy experiences unite entrepreneurs regardless of industry. Can you share a crazy story with our readers?

One Random Saturday I’m working on sneakers and I receive a phone call from a number with a 305 area code and I declined the call due to the fact I did not recognize the number, So I decline the call and this same phone number call me again so I’m like hey let me just go ahead and answer. So I answer the phone and I’m like “Who’s this?” and this person said “Rozay” I’m like who and he’s like “Rick Ross” I’m like Rick ross the rapper? he like “YES” I’m in complete shock because I never thought someone in that statutre would just randomly call my phone for one of may custom sneakers. Long story short I’ve done tons of custom sneakers for Rick Ross and built a great business relationship with him.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

First and foremost I’m a custom sneaker designer and what I do is basically turn a boring sneaker into a 1 of 1 art piece. I first got into this industry by going viral on a 2015 facebook post of a Nike Foamposite I customized with a can of spray paint just messing around. By this time I had tons of inbox messages with inquiries about my customizing prices. My biggest accomplishment so far with my Business Xandercustomz is now I have a sneaker collaboration with the brand FILA dropping in store 2023

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

I believe social media is the best way I have grown my clientele by posting catchy videos of myself customizing sneakers. My followers love it!

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I believe social media play a huge role into my success with my reputation as a custom sneaker designer. I’ve also worked hard to get customers their products in a respectable time frame.
