We caught up with the brilliant and insightful ALEXANDER GRANT a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, ALEXANDER thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
The story behind my mission is rooted in pain. I lost my daughter tierra, and my father within a short span of time. It was the darkest season of my life. I was a pastor, but I felt broken, a father but I felt empty; man, but I lost. out of that storm, God birth a vision in me. to take what tried to destroy me and turn into a foundation of hope for others.
That’s how tag Three foundation was born honoring three generation. my father, myself and my daughter tierra alexis grant. Me and my sister, started with nothing but faith passing out hygiene kits to the homeless. from there. grew into serving children with backpacks, blessing, families at christmas, and walking beside people in their storms.

ALEXANDER, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Alexander grant jr, but most people know me as the champ coach. I wear severe hats. A pastor, nonprofit founder, the author, and a life coach, But at the center of all of it, I’m someone who believes in turning pain into purpose.
My journey into ministry and leadership wasn’t planned around a career path. It was birth out of tragedy, I lost my daughter, Tierra, my father within a short season. That heartbreak nearly destroyed me, but it also became the seed for my mission out of that pain came the Tag 3 foundation, which honors three generation, my father, myself and my daughter, Tierra Alexis Grant. We start small passing out hygiene’s kits to the homeless with nothing but faith and vision. Since then, Tag 3 has grown to serve hundreds of children and families with back to school drives, Christmas, giveaway and community outreach programs.
As a author I’ve written several books, and my latest, Champion Do Recover, captures my journey of grief, faith, and recovery. It’s a story that reminds people that even after imaginable loss, life is still worth living and healing is still possible.
As a life coach and a pastor, my work is centered on helping people navigate Storms, whether those storms are grief, financial struggle, broken relationship of a loss of identity. I don’t just offer just inspiration, I offers strategies for recovery, rooted in my own lived experiences, what sets me apart is that I don’t speak from theory. I speak from scars.
I’m most proud of the lives. I’ve seen impacted through this work. Family restored, individual finding hope again, and young people realizing that they still have a future.
At the end of the day, I want people to know that I’m here to prove that no matter what you’ve lost, you can rise again. Champions aren’t those who never fall they’re the ones who recover. That’s the heartbeat of my brand, my book, my ministry, and tag 3 foundation.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I believe my reputation was built on authenticity. I never tried to present myself as someone who had it all together. I let people see my scars, not just my successes. When I lost my daughter tierra and my father, I didn’t hide the pain. I shared the journey. People connect with that honesty, because it shows them that faith isn’t about being perfect, its about recovering.
Another thing that builds my reputation was consistency. Whether I’m serving through tag 3 foundation, coaching, someone one- on- one, pastoring Bible connection ministry, or writing books like champion do recover. I give people the same message. There is hope after hurt. Over time People saw that my words weren’t just motivational. They were lived out in my own life.
What sets me apart is that I don’t just talk about overcoming storms,. I’ve been through them, and I walk with others until they can see light again. That authenticity, paired with a heart for people people. Is what I believe has helped establish my reputation.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One story that captures my resilience is the season when I had to plan my daughter tierra’s funeral, while at the same time watching my father health rapidly decline. Within a short span. I lost them both. I can’t describe the weight of that grief, It felt like my world had ended. On top of that, my marriage was strained, finances were collapsing and I had no desire to continue pastoring.
But here’s where resilience came in. I didn’t stay down. I cried, I broke, I even questioned God, but little-by-little. I got back up. I leaned on faith, family, and the small sparks of the purpose that God was still birthing inside of me out of that storm came tag 3 foundation, which is now serving hundreds in our community in my latest books, Champions Do Recover
