We were lucky to catch up with Alexander Crowley recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alexander, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I knew from a young age that I wanted to become a professional wrestler. I first began training at 19, but where I lived, it wasn’t a sustainable option to continue. I tried again in my early 20s while living in Chicago, but the only wrestling school was nearly two hours away—something that was extremely difficult to manage without a car in a city built around public transit.
After moving to Texas and stepping away from traveling to focus on education in the hair industry, I finally found a proper place to train: Hybrid School of Wrestling. There, I was able to truly develop my skills and refine my character. Choosing to train there was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my professional wrestling journey.

Alexander, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Beyond becoming a professional wrestler, I’ve also immersed myself in creating wrestling gear for others. It’s a craft my spouse taught me during the lockdown of COVID, and I quickly became obsessed with sewing. Since then, I’ve created gear for local wrestlers, talent across different states, and even a WWE wrestler—whose gear was featured on one of his action figures at the time.
When it comes to professional wrestling, I’ve placed a strong emphasis on visual presentation. It’s the first thing that captures people’s attention, and I’m constantly evolving that aspect of my persona. Another key factor that has helped me stand out is having my incredible spouse by my side as my manager, along with a custom-created entrance theme. Not only does it perfectly align with my character, but it also avoids copyright issues when matches are uploaded to platforms like YouTube and social media.

How did you build your audience on social media?
When I first started on social media, my focus was on growing within the hair industry and eventually traveling to educate other hairstylists. I wanted to help them expand their following, improve how they photographed their work, and share my skills in cutting and fading hair so they could grow their business behind the chair and build a stronger clientele.
A few things that helped me along the way were identifying the right hashtags to reach my target audience, creating a consistent posting schedule, and staying actively engaged by liking and commenting on content I genuinely enjoyed. At the time, engagement played a major role in social media growth, and being consistent with it made a significant difference.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
A few years ago, one of my social media posts went viral for the wrong reasons. People began comparing me to someone they had seen on television, calling me a knockoff and flooding my page with negativity. Some comments went as far as telling me to take my own life and attempting to cancel me over something I didn’t even realize I was doing at the time—I was still naive to the industry.
I took a step back and really reflected on everything. I made adjustments where I could, refining parts of my persona to create more separation. I grew from that experience and evolved in the best way I knew how. Even now, there are still occasional comparisons, but I’ve learned to take those hits without letting them define me.
At the end of the day, I choose to focus on the people who support me and genuinely connect with what I do. I won’t change everything about myself just to satisfy a few negative voices—especially when those traits are simply part of who I am.
