We were lucky to catch up with Alex Roa recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Alex thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Our mission at Pangea and The Culture Club goes beyond democratizing the creator economy and advancing financial equity—it’s about building products and investing in the future to accelerate humanity and mankind. This mission holds deep personal meaning for me because I’ve seen the barriers that creators and smaller brands face when trying to break into the industry. The traditional influencer marketing space has been dominated by those with the biggest budgets, leaving countless talented creators and businesses on the sidelines. That felt inherently unfair to me, and it drove me to want to create something better.
By developing tools like Blitz and Myah, we’re not just making it easier for creators to collaborate with brands; we’re actively leveling the playing field, giving everyone a shot at success, regardless of their resources or connections. We made Blitz free because we believe in the power of accessibility—that everyone should have the opportunity to build a career or grow their brand without facing financial hurdles.
But our mission doesn’t stop there. We’re focused on investing in the future—on creating products and technologies that will accelerate progress for humanity as a whole. Whether it’s empowering creators through financial equity or developing AI tools that boost productivity, everything we do is aimed at contributing to a better, more inclusive future. We want to help people unlock their full potential, drive innovation, and create a world where creativity and opportunity know no boundaries.
Ultimately, our work is about more than just business—it’s about shaping the future in a way that benefits all of mankind, ensuring that the tools we build today contribute to a more equitable and accelerated tomorrow.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’ve been in the influencer and creator marketing industry for over three years, and during that time, I founded Pangea and The Culture Club to help democratize the creator economy. My focus has always been on building tools and services that make it easier for creators and brands to collaborate, regardless of their size or budget. That’s where Blitz comes in—it’s a comprehensive software tool designed to streamline digital collaborations, making everything from payouts to campaign management seamless for both creators and brands.
Blitz allows users to manage campaigns, find rates, and even initiate payouts to global contractors and entertainers. For enterprise clients, it simplifies the accounts payable process and offers creators a line of credit, so they can get paid within 24 hours through PayPal or Stripe. This tool also benefits creators by syncing with Google Auth to accelerate bookings through our MYAH AI integration, providing them with real-time data that helps them collaborate more effectively.
What sets us apart is the fact that Blitz is designed to be accessible to everyone. Whether you’re a small business looking to work with a mid-tier creator or an international brand, Blitz allows you to launch campaigns without any minimums and manage the entire process through one platform.
I’m particularly proud of how we’ve bridged gaps for creators who may not have had access to big-budget collaborations. With tools like Blitz, we’re helping level the playing field, making it easier for creators to manage their careers and for businesses to engage with talent at any price point. What I want potential clients to know is that we’re committed to advancing financial equity for creators and simplifying the creative collaboration process. Our mission at Pangea and The Culture Club has always been about enabling creators and brands to succeed together, and Blitz is a critical piece of that vision.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
When managing a team, especially in a fast-growing and dynamic environment like ours at Pangea and The Culture Club, I’ve found that maintaining high morale hinges on two key elements: clear vision and meaningful collaboration. It’s important for everyone on the team to feel connected to a shared mission, which is why I always emphasize the bigger picture. When team members understand the impact their work has—whether it’s helping creators build their careers or enabling brands to collaborate more seamlessly—they feel a sense of purpose that drives engagement.
One of the most effective ways to maintain that connection is by consistently communicating a vision for the future. At Pangea, we’re not just focused on the work at hand, but on how we’re shaping the creator economy and building tools like Blitz and Myah to make a lasting difference. When the team knows that their contributions are part of a grander goal, it fuels excitement and keeps them motivated.
Another important aspect is fostering a collaborative culture. I encourage open communication and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring that each team member feels heard and that their input is valued. It’s also important to celebrate wins—big or small—because acknowledging progress helps build momentum.
Lastly, empowering the team to grow is critical. Providing opportunities for development, whether through learning new skills or taking on leadership roles, shows that we’re invested in their future. When your team can see that you’re building a fantastic future not just for the company but for them as individuals, it boosts morale and fosters a sense of loyalty and commitment.
In essence, leading with vision, encouraging collaboration, and supporting personal growth are the cornerstones of building a high-morale team that’s excited about the future.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was the idea that I should build a business that could “survive without me.” Early on, I was taught that the mark of a truly successful company is one that can function independently of its founder. The thinking was that by delegating as much as possible, the business could run itself, and I could step back. I took that advice seriously, believing that if I delegated more, I was doing the right thing for the longevity of the business.
But over time, I realized that this advice didn’t fully apply to the type of businesses I was building, especially at Pangea and The Culture Club. These companies thrive precisely because I’m actively involved, providing the vision and leadership that shape everything from the strategy to the culture. Delegation is, of course, important, but I learned that my presence and input are crucial to our success.
I had to unlearn the notion that stepping away would lead to sustainability. Instead, I’ve embraced the role I play at the helm, recognizing that the energy and direction I provide are essential to driving innovation and growth. My leadership is what ties together the different aspects of our companies—whether it’s developing new software like Blitz or expanding our impact in the creator economy.
While I’ve learned to delegate effectively, I also understand that my involvement is a key ingredient. I now focus on balancing leadership with empowering my team, but I know that my companies are at their best when I’m fully engaged in guiding the vision.
