Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alex Pistorio. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Alex thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Almost all entrepreneurs have had to decide whether to start now or later? There are always pros and cons for waiting and so we’d love to hear what you think about your decision in retrospect. If you could go back in time, would you have started your business sooner, later or at the exact time you started?
I do wish I would have started my business earlier! I started this as a part time hobby while still working my full time job. I think in the back of my mind I always envisioned and dreamed of doing this work full time but knew at that time in life it was more of just a hobby and side passion for me. When Covid happened, I transitioned into staying at home with my daughter, and decided to pursue blogging and creating full time. What I’ve gained as an individual, in confidence as a business owner, and as a person all around, I wish I would have been doing this full time way before just two years ago. I wouldn’t have brushed it off as just a “hobby” or let myself believe that doing this full time is a far off dream.

Alex, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I have loved social media, and sharing outfits for YEARS now. I started sharing daily outfits in my old retail job. I learned to love posting, creating, editing photos, and building connections through social media apps. When my daughter was born in 2018, my husband asked me one day “why aren’t you blogging again, you should go for it”! And the rest is history. I love showing up daily for my instagram, Tik Tok. blog and Facebook. I LOVE showing women and especially mama’s that you don’t have to lose yourself after becoming a mother. You can still put into yourself like you put into your kids. While my feed is built up of styling how to’s, things to do and places to visit in Orlando, and everyday outfits, you can come connect and hang out with me in stories! There’s always something fun and entertaining happening over there! :))
When you come onto my platforms, I hope you feel so welcome and at home. I love creating connections with my followers, I love learning about my followers and love helping new mamas gain confidence through style.
I also LOVE sharing our favorite places in Orlando! Living in the sunshine state, there is always something to do and see! You can find my favorite things to do in Orlando on each of my platforms!
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
I think that if you’re not in the creative business, it may not look like a business to you. Although creatives, influencers, bloggers, have come a long way in making a name for themselves, there is such a misunderstanding still that it’s just post a cute photo or video and be done for the day, when that is so far from the truth!
While I’m speaking for myself, I’m sure a lot of influencers, creatives and bloggers can relate when I say we pour every minute of every day into this business. If we don’t show up daily for our platforms and communities, it’s hard to build trust within our communities!
If you are looking to go into this business and becoming a creative, know that you will be your own boss, an editor, a lawyer looking over contracts, a photographer, and so many more positions, but the relationship you build are so worth all of the hard work and hours and hours of building your brand!

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My biggest mission behind my journey is to show my kids, and especially my daughter that they can do and be whatever they want. The beginning of my journey I had a few people question what I was doing, and of course I’ve heard the “blogging isn’t a real job” but I never let it stop me. I want that to show my children and anyone else that it doesn’t matter how much support you have, as long as you are passionate about it, and truly love what you do, you should go for it. Work hard, put in the effort, pour into yourself and your own goals, and you will thank yourself later.
