Alex, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start big picture – what are some of biggest trends you are seeing in your industry?
In the real estate industry, visibility is key. As a Realtor, you want to be in front of as many people as you can to be successful. Social media marketing is one of the biggest trends to increase your visibility. If you are not on social media or you are not using your social media to represent your brand, then you are missing out on a lot of opportunities.


Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
My name is Alex Dixon. I’m a Realtor with eXp Realty, LLC. I have a team known as AD Realty Partners and I’m also a Real Estate Investor. I entered into the beautiful world of real estate in 2020, midst of the pandemic. I have two beautiful daughters and an amazing husband!
I currently assist buyers, sellers, investors, and renters with homeownership and investing! I provide education and humor to the real estate industry to ensure that people are informed of the current market trends.
The thing that sets me apart from others is my ability to adapt. As we have experienced many shifts in the market, I make it a point to stay current on important information in the industry. I love being a Realtor. I love the joy in seeing others achieve homeownership.
I love to create experiences for my clients whether we are in a tough or smooth transaction. I strive to make sure my clients are well informed and comfortable with one of the biggest purchases they’ll make.
I’m most proud of being able to help those that don’t believe they can own a home, become homeowners. Having me a Realtor, I will provide you with support even after you close on your home!



Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
I recently became a full time Realtor! When I started real estate, I had a career in the health care industry for over 10+ years. I always knew I wanted to become full-time, I just needed to make sure I was able to meet my monthly goals before doing so. Being a Realtor is commission based in most cases, so you want to make sure you save enough money before jumping into the industry. It can be very expensive depending on the structure of your team or brokerage.
I had to set a goal to bring in more than my full time job monthly before becoming a full-time Realtor. I also needed to find additional sources of income.
I knew I had to promote myself every single day to meet those goals. I used social media as a tool to get in front of as many leads as I could. 2.5 years later, I turned my passion into a full time career!



We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Social media marketing seems like a hard task, but it’s honestly not at all! The key is to be yourself! People relate to authentic people. Viral moments are short-lived, so don’t try to make viral content. Make relatable content!
For me, I enjoy making people laugh and educating at the same time! So my post may be a funny skit, but the caption may be educational in a way for my audience to understand!
You have to find out what you are good at in your industry and create the content. Be consistent and don’t stress followers. Focus on conversions. How can you create content that turn your followers into leads/sales. That’s the goal! Build a brand that people remember when they need your service.
