Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alessia Gerasolo. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alessia, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?

My company is called Muse.

I named my dance company “Muse” because dance, at its core, is a form of expression and inspiration. A muse is something that sparks creativity, and that’s exactly what we aim to do—ignite passion, movement, and emotion through dance. We believe that every performance and every dancer has the potential to inspire others.Our company is all about celebrating the art of movement and serving as a source of inspiration, whether on stage or in the studio.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

From a young age, dance was something I enjoyed for fun, but it didn’t take long before I realized it was more than just a pastime—it was a passion. Once I recognized how much I enjoyed it, I made the decision to take it more seriously and dedicate myself to pursuing dance as a craft.

In order to continue growing, I worked full-time to afford the classes and training I needed. It became my priority to improve my skills and deepen my understanding of dance. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to travel and dance for various artists, which has shaped me both as a performer and as a teacher. Every experience has further fueled my love for the art and inspired me to share that same passion with others.

What really sets Muse apart is that we don’t just focus on technique or choreography—we focus on helping our dancers build confidence.By creating a supportive environment, we help break through their insecurities and find their own unique voice through dance.I’m most proud of the community we’ve built—one that celebrates the unique voices of every individual, whether they’re on stage or in class. My biggest hope is that others find their own muse in dance, and that we continue to inspire people to express themselves boldly and authentically.

While I continue to train and grow as a dancer myself, I work hard to maintain the balance between my own development and running the company. It’s a journey that keeps me grounded in both my craft and my mission to help others discover the power of dance.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist is the ability to connect with others through the work I create. Whether I’m on stage performing, teaching, or choreographing, I find it truly fulfilling when I see someone else connect with the movement or feel inspired by it.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I’ve had the privilege of working with and learning from talented artists and mentors, and much of my growth has come from those collaborations. By being professional, open-minded, and supportive of others, I’ve gained trust and respect from peers, which has played a huge role in my reputation.
