We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Alessandra Bosco . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Alessandra below.
Alright, Alessandra thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
After several years of being in front of the camera, and dedicating my free time on doing photo shoots while living Stateside, I have worked on my own photographic project . I did decide to put together a calendar that would be distributed among military members, due to my affiliation at the time with the military. I was able to talk about my ideas with a famous Italian photographer who has worked with a few national celebrities over the years. I have coordinated the photo shoot, wardrobe, timing, locations and other important details in order to achieve the best results. Acting as the model , creative director and publisher of my own creation. I was able to see my final product inside 120 Aafes stores on military installations in Europe, Middle East and Asia, including locations at war zones in Afghanistan. I was able to personally see my product inside a few of the stores in Europe and I can’t describe that feeling of personal accomplishment. I was proud of seeing that my hard work paid off. As it’s very difficult, (almost impossible) to do what I did when it comes to selling inside the Aafes stores. The calendars were going off the shelves fast and many service members were sending me pictures with the calendar that I created. I knew right then that taking that risk, and investing my own money in creating my product ,was the best decision . It meant a lot to me and it showed me that if you put your mind to it, anything is possible.
Alessandra , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I have been in front of the camera since childhood. I’m from Northern Italy and also a US resident . I have established myself as a glamour model mainly when living stateside. I have been published in several publications, including online ones, I was a top finalist during the Manhattan model search and attended several casting calls while in Florida. Meeting former models Beverly Johnson and Stephanie Seymour. I was also published in a few publications in Italy. I was casted in 2019 for a HBO TV series called “we are who we are” directed by Luca Guadagnino , where I had fun as an extra. I am proud of my accomplishments due to my perseverance and ambition. I didn’t quit, but went on with what I wanted to do , in what I would call a tough industry.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The pride and sense of accomplishment, seeing yourself grow as an artist and express yourself through what you create. Those are among the most rewarding aspects of being a creative.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I did have an audience prior to dedicate myself on social media ,so it wasn’t difficult to have supporters. Many of them remembered seeing me on publications stateside or online. I think it’s important to create content in order to maintain interactions with your audience and in order to create paid collaborations with the companies who are present on social media.
