Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alesia Lani . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alesia , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

I always knew music was my path because it just seemed to play such a big part of my life in all ways imagined . Thinking back, the way I slowing learned and dissected the craft of songwriting, delivery , performance & etc . I took the most interest in music weather I was singing or dancing. But what really sold me was performing my first talent show in third grade. I remember singing a Janet Jackson song lol can’t recall the song but from there you couldn’t keep me off the stage. Of course before I was just perform on the spot, ya know how parents do “babygirl sing that song for mama” or “do that cute little dance” lol

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?

Well I’m Alesia Lani & I’m a singer/songwriter from Austin , Tx. I really leaned into my craft as a child but seriously pursued right before graduating high school. I always made it an importance to put myself in front of others , whether I felt ready or not. With the world being my stage , so would be my growth & journey as well as meeting so many people along the way. I’ll forever be proud & grateful to that I have the space to express my creativity & ppl enjoy it. I don’t really have no expectations in anything other than being better than who I was yesterday.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

Being able to have the safe, creative space to create & share my art form is such a gift within it’s self.. I’m a very free-spirited individual & I really enjoy the journey I’m on. But I guess to answer your question, it would have to be, having the outlet & support of being able to do what I love & make music. Having others that enjoy it just as much as I do, if not more it the icing on the cake.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

You can say my mission is, “I’m always trying to be better than who I was yesturday”. That alone is an inspiration to me & helps me motivate myself to always work & aim higher with every move or decision I make which helps me have that create time to execute.
