We were lucky to catch up with Alena Zdorovchenko recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Alena, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about how you went about setting up your own practice and if you have any advice for professionals who might be considering starting their own?
The decision to open my hypnotherapy practice was both intuitive and intentional. For years before officially launching on September 21st, 2025, I had been supporting people through tools like energy work and subconscious exploration. But it wasn’t structured. I realized that to create deeper, lasting results, I needed a more precise and ethical framework—so I committed to hypnotherapy and opened my practice.
The early days combined inner alignment with practical steps: refining my method, creating a clear session structure, building my website, and consistently sharing educational content. I chose to work online via Zoom, which allowed me to reach clients globally from the start.
One of the biggest challenges was balancing the depth of this work with running a business. Hypnotherapy requires responsibility, while also demanding clarity in communication, positioning, and building systems. Developing confidence—not just in the work, but in expressing it—was a key part of the process.
If I could do anything differently, I would trust my direction sooner. It’s easy in the beginning to feel like you need to help everyone. Real growth came when I focused on being precise and clear about my approach and boundaries.
My advice: build your practice on integrity, not urgency. Take time to master your craft, refine your process, and stay consistent. Doing the work well will always matter more than doing it quickly.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
I’m a Certified Hypnotherapist and the founder of Wisdom For Healing, where I help people create meaningful change by working directly with the subconscious mind. My work is rooted in hypnotherapy, along with complementary tools like imagery, NLP, and energy-based approaches—all structured in a way that is both practical and deeply transformative.
My path into this field wasn’t linear. I’ve always been drawn to understanding human behavior and inner patterns, but it became personal when I experienced firsthand how much our internal state—especially brain chemistry and subconscious programming—can shape our emotions, reactions, and overall quality of life. That realization shifted something for me. I began studying the subconscious mind more seriously, and over time, what started as a personal exploration evolved into a professional calling.
Today, I work with clients around the world through private hypnotherapy sessions and group experiences like Past Life Regression workshops. My sessions are structured yet individualized—each one begins with understanding the client’s goals, followed by a tailored hypnotic process designed to create real, lasting shifts.
I often work with clients who feel stuck in patterns—whether it’s anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship dynamics, or a sense that something deeper is holding them back. What sets my work apart is the balance between depth and precision. I’m not focused on surface-level motivation or “quick fixes.” I care about doing this work safely, responsibly, and in a way that truly supports long-term change.
What I’m most proud of is the level of trust my clients place in me and the transformations I witness—when someone begins to feel more grounded, more clear, and more connected to themselves.
If there’s one thing I want people to know, it’s that real change doesn’t come from forcing or fixing yourself—it comes from understanding and working with your subconscious in the right way. And when that happens, change becomes not only possible, but natural.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Beyond training and knowledge, I believe what truly matters in this field is who you are being when you sit with another person.
Presence is everything. There’s a saying I deeply resonate with: “If your presence doesn’t speak, the words are useless.” In my experience, that’s very true. Clients don’t just respond to techniques or scripts—they respond to how safe, seen, and understood they feel in your presence. And that can’t be faked.
I also appreciate the NLP perspective that words are only a small part of communication. The majority is non-verbal—tone, energy, intention. People feel that. They feel whether you’re grounded, whether you’re judging, whether you’re truly with them.
For me, some of the most important qualities are the ability to hold space without judgment, a genuine curiosity about another person’s inner world, and a deep sense of compassion. I think there’s also something very powerful about staying open—almost like a childlike curiosity—where you’re not assuming, not projecting, but really allowing the person to unfold in their own way.
There’s also an element of spiritual attunement in this work. Not in a rigid or defined way, but in the sense of being connected, present, and respectful of the depth of another human being’s experience.
At the end of the day, techniques matter—but it’s the quality of your presence, your intention, and your care for people that truly creates transformation.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
For me, the most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been simple, but not always easy: walking the walk.
In this field, people can feel the difference between someone who is genuinely aligned with their work and someone who is just trying to promote a service. I’ve found that when you show up with integrity, with a real desire to help, and a deep respect for the process, it naturally builds trust. And trust is what brings people in—and keeps them.
A large part of my growth has come through word of mouth. When clients experience meaningful change, they share it. That kind of referral is incredibly powerful because it’s rooted in real results, not just marketing.
Of course, I also stay consistent in sharing educational content and being visible, especially online. But even there, my focus is not on “selling,” it’s on offering value—helping people understand how their mind works, what’s possible for them, and how change actually happens.
I believe sustainable growth comes from alignment. When your work is genuine, when your intention is clear, and when you truly care about the people you serve, people feel it—and they respond to it.
