Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Aleli Rodriguez. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Aleli, thanks for joining us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
In the fabric of my life, the threads woven by my Ama and Apa form the most vibrant and influential patterns. Our home was modest, often teetering on the edge of scarcity. What made it even more challenging was that my parents were undocumented immigrants, on top of that my dad battled addictions and early childhood trauma. Yet, within these circumstances, my Ama’s spirit shone like a guiding light.
I can vividly recall those evenings when she would sit with us, sharing her journey, on the kitchen table, after whippin’ a delicious border line gourmet meal—the struggles she faced, the obstacles she overcame. Despite being undocumented, she never allowed that status to define our limitations. She became a force, ensuring all six of our needs were met, our plates never empty, and our roof always secure.
Her resilience was a story etched into my heart—a tale that taught me a powerful lesson: no circumstance, no matter how daunting, should hinder the pursuit of our dreams. If she, in the face of being undocumented with lack of support, could brave life’s challenges to care for us, it became a profound source of inspiration for me, igniting a belief that I, too, could conquer any hurdle with a positive and solution-focused approach.
And then there was my Apa, a man of quiet strength, personal battles and hurdles. He faced similar challenges as an undocumented immigrant, plus some sue to lifestyle choicces. His stories, told in hushed tones, held the wisdom of someone who’d weathered life’s storms. He would often say things like “heche le ganas Mija,” “dale Duru Beibe,” and “puro para delante,” as he encouraged me to press on, hit hard, and never lose sight of my dreams.
Their stories, their struggles, their triumphs—each painted a vivid picture that became the roadmap for my aspirations. Their unwavering resilience gave me the strength to face life’s obstacles with a determined spirit. It’s like they were characters in a story, teaching me to face challenges with grit and determination, no matter how tough things get.
Their tales and teachings continue to shape the narrative of my life, guiding me to meet each challenge with unwavering resolve. Their resilience fuels the fire within me, urging me to tackle every hurdle with a courage that’s deeply rooted in their stories of perseverance and unwavering strength.

Aleli, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hello everyone! I’m thrilled to tell you a bit about myself and how I found my way into the world of real estate, particularly as a realtor focused on helping both home sellers and home buyers.
My story in real estate started in a slightly unconventional way. At 19, I was a young parent working in a call center. Coincidentally, my sister was a leasing consultant and my mother worked as a custodian for the same property management company. When an opportunity to join the company arose, I eagerly jumped aboard. This opened my eyes to the intricacies of renting apartments, managing buildings, maintaining ledgers, and the pivotal role landlords play in our lives. These experiences planted the seed about the importance of land and real estate as a valuable asset in our lives.
As I navigated through different industries, managing a storage building, I began to understand the substantial role real estate plays in building wealth. I realized that owning real estate is one of the most effective ways to grow one’s financial stability. It’s a unique investment where you can set money aside and watch it grow over time, whether you live in it, have others live in it, or rent the space out.
My official plunge into the real estate world was catalyzed by the power of social media, especially the insights I gained through platforms like Instagram. Initially, my interest was in personal finance. I noticed people living with a sense of security and financial peace that I longed for. That’s when I stumbled upon the FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) movement and fell deep into the rabbit hole. Witnessing how people were achieving financial freedom inspired me to delve deeper and learn more.
My passion lies in teaching, guiding, and advocating for the power of equity in real estate. I’m on a mission to make real estate transactions as effortless as possible for my clients. Whether it’s assisting home sellers or guiding home buyers, I’m committed to ensuring a smooth process and helping individuals understand the value and benefits that come with real estate ownership.
One of the key aspects of my approach is my VIP selling strategy, which is designed to help sellers maximize their profits. My strategy involves a comprehensive plan that encompasses market insights, strategic pricing, staging, and effective marketing. It’s crafted to ensure that sellers can secure the best possible deal for their properties.
What sets me apart is not just my experience and knowledge but my genuine desire to empower people with the understanding of how real estate can be a cornerstone in building long-term financial security. My main goal is to show others the path to financial freedom through property ownership. I am immensely proud of the knowledge and guidance I provide to clients, empowering them to make informed decisions about their real estate journey.
I want potential clients and followers to know that I’m not just a realtor. I am a dedicated advocate for financial well-being and stability through real estate ownership. I strive to simplify the complexities of the real estate market, making it relatable, approachable, and comprehensible for everyone. Let’s connect, learn, and embark on a journey towards financial security and a brighter future together!

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of new clients for me has undeniably been social media. Leveraging platforms where I’ve built a following over the years has proven to be incredibly effective. I find that actively engaging with my audience through messages and addressing questions about buying homes has been a game-changer. About 60% of my prospects have originated from these interactions.
A key strategy that has worked well for me is sharing informative reels that not only showcase my expertise in real estate but also include a clear call to action. This content sparks interest and prompts my audience to reach out with their queries or express their real estate needs.
What amplifies the impact is the personalized touch in my approach. I make a point of directly messaging individuals who have been following me for some time. It’s not just about broadcasting information; it’s about fostering one-on-one connections. Through these conversations, I often follow up with a crucial question: “Who do you know that might have real estate needs or questions?” This approach has not only led to direct referrals but has also expanded my network by tapping into the connections of my existing followers.
In essence, social media has not only served as a platform for information dissemination but has become a dynamic space for building relationships, initiating meaningful conversations, and ultimately, generating valuable leads in the real estate domain.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
In my world of real estate, building relationships is at the heart of what I do. It’s not just about transactions; it’s about connecting with people on a personal level. I’ve found that many of the lasting relationships I’ve built started way back in middle school with old friends. The trust we’ve cultivated over the years has not only strengthened our personal connections but has also become a driving force for business referrals.
My approach to client relationships is rooted in authenticity. Many of my first-time clients, even those I’ve met through knocking on doors or social media, take some time to get to know. But that’s where the magic happens. I treat everyone with the same level of dedication and ensure that our connection goes beyond just business.
Staying in touch is key, and I utilize various channels like social media, texts, and calls to keep the conversation alive. I make it a point to attend promotional events hosted by clients and extend invitations to events our company organizes, like the Summer Block Party we threw last year. It wasn’t just about real estate; it was about community, support, and sharing meaningful experiences.
In addition to these personal connections, I leverage a powerful tool in my arsenal: a CRM system. It’s not just a database; it’s my personal organizer, reminding me to check in with clients regularly. Whether it’s a quick call, a message, or a coffee meetup, the CRM ensures that no one slips through the cracks.
Not everyone is ready to dive into real estate transactions right away, and I respect that. So, I make a habit of checking in every few months, not just about business but about life in general. The CRM helps me stay organized and maintain a systematic approach to keeping in touch.
As much as I’m passionate about real estate, I’m equally interested in the lives of my clients. I ask about their families, share a bit about my own experiences, and genuinely engage in their stories. It’s these personal connections that form the foundation of trust and make our business bond even stronger.
In the end, it’s not just about selling houses; it’s about being a reliable resource for anything related to real estate. I’ve seen the impact of this approach in the increased number of appointments and agreements over the past year. For me, success is not just measured in transactions; it’s measured in the strength of the relationships I build.
