We were lucky to catch up with Aleksia Johnson recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Aleksia thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I’ve been on social media since I was 13 years old. I started on Musical.ly just for fun, and when I turned 16, I knew I wanted to take social media more seriously. Since I’ve been on social media for the past six years, I want to influence others to believe in themselves and let them know that they can do anything they put their minds to. I started on Instagram and then started to turn to the app that is now called TikTok. I also started my YouTube channel in September of this past year. Social media brings a positive light into my life and allows me to share my passions with the world. In the coming years, I plan to keep influencing people and continue to share my love for social media.
Aleksia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Aleksia Johnson, and I’m from Columbia, Missouri. I love to act, dance, and sing. I’m the oldest and only daughter of 3. I’m most proud of putting myself out there and giving people joy in what I do. Some main things that I want potential fans to know about me are that my social media platforms are solely Christian based and that I like to share my life with the world.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I built my audience on social media by showing off my interests; this includes acting, dancing, singing, etc. I’ve been a dancer since I was 4 years old, and I love it. I recently started singing, and I post weekly covers on my TikTok and Instagram platforms. My advice to anyone who wants to start social media or grow a better platform is to stay to yourself and do what you love to do. Staying consistent by posting as much as possible and using trending hashtags in your photo or video captions can help them reach bigger audiences.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal for my creative journey is to keep making content for others to show what interests me. I also want to influence people to follow their dreams and believe in themselves. I want to make it to the big screen and act in a tv show or movie one day, and I still intend to make that happen.
