We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Alejandra Pedroza. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Alejandra below.
Alejandra, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Growing up, I was surrounded by the rich aromas and vibrant flavors of my family’s kitchen. Mexican cuisine was more than just food it was a way to connect with my heritage, celebrate tradition, and bring people together. As I got older, I created my own unique salsa recipe of Salsa Macha, inspired by my family’s traditions, and discovered it had the ability to bring joy to others as well.
That’s why I started Doña Ale Salsas. My mission is simple: to share the authentic, bold flavors of Mexican salsa with the world. Using the best locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, I pour my heart into every jar. Each salsa I make carries the soul of the recipes that i created, blended with my own commitment to quality and passion for great food.
From the markets in Castle Hills, Flower Mound, and Carrollton, I’ve seen firsthand how something as simple as salsa can bring joy and create connections. For me, this journey is about more than just making a product—it’s about celebrating my culture, preserving tradition, and giving people a taste of the warmth and richness of Mexico, one jar at a time.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Alejandra, and I am the owner and creator of Doña Ale Salsas, a business dedicated to crafting authentic, artisan Mexican salsas. My journey into this industry began with my deep love for Mexican cuisine, which I grew up surrounded by. Inspired by my family’s rich culinary traditions, I set out to create my own unique salsa recipe that captures the vibrant, bold flavors I’ve always cherished.
At Doña Ale Salsas, I provide handcrafted salsas made with the best, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. I pride myself on offering a product that isn’t mass-produced but instead created with love and attention to detail. My goal is to give people a genuine taste of Mexico, packed with flavor and authenticity. What sets my salsas apart is their homemade quality and the balance of spices and ingredients that reflect traditional recipes, with a twist that makes them uniquely mine.
I believe food should bring people together, and that’s what I hope my salsas do. Whether it’s enhancing a dish with bold flavors or adding a delicious touch to a casual get-together, I want my customers to experience the joy that a great salsa can bring. One of the things I’m most proud of is the positive feedback I’ve received from my community and customers. Seeing people enjoy my salsa at markets, like those in Castle Hills, Flower Mound, and Carrollton, and hearing how it’s become a favorite in their households, is incredibly rewarding.
What I want people to know about Doña Ale Salsas is that this is more than just a business for me. It’s about sharing my culture, creating something with heart, and delivering a product I truly believe in. My mission is to provide salsas that not only taste amazing but also carry the warmth and authenticity of Mexican cuisine.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients for me has been local markets and word of mouth. Participating in community markets has given me the chance to connect with customers face-to-face, allowing them to sample my salsas and experience the quality firsthand. Once people try the salsa, they often come back for more and spread the word to their friends and family. Personal recommendations have been invaluable in helping my business grow, and I’m grateful for the support from my community.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One story that illustrates my resilience is when I first started **Doña Ale Salsas**. In the beginning, I had to face many challenges, from perfecting my recipe to navigating the logistics of running a small business. One of the toughest moments was when I participated in my first market. I had spent weeks preparing, only to have a very slow day with fewer sales than I had hoped for.
It was disheartening, but instead of giving up, I used it as a learning experience.
I spent time talking to customers, getting feedback, and fine-tuning both my product and my approach. I refined my marketing, adjusted my recipes based on what people loved most, and improved my presentation. Over time, I started seeing the results of those efforts. My salsas began to gain a loyal following, and I went from slow market days to selling out regularly. That experience taught me the importance of persistence, adaptability, and staying focused on my passion even when things don’t go as planned. It was a tough but rewarding journey, and it strengthened my belief in my mission.
