We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Alejandra Isola a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alejandra, appreciate you joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Skin Logistics was a name that didn’t come easy; like at all in the beginning for me. I actually had a whole different business name when I first started on my own a year ago. Even though I had a business name I just knew it just wasn’t for me and what I wanted to represent in the beauty industry. Here’s a little back story as how Skin Logistics was born. I am an aesthetician based out of Tucson, Arizona, I consider myself more as a Corrective Skin Care Specialist. Meaning I’m not all about the fluff in my treatment room. I strive to give you the results you’ve been struggling on your own, not only am I giving you your results, but I’m also restoring your skins health and boosting that confidence within yourself.
As a solo business owner, I know I want to be something bigger, wanting to expand my business, and wanting to be recognized as being one of the best aestheticians here in Tucson. And bigger comes from a business name that is not only catchy, but also get straight to the point of who I am, and I want I provide.
I spent months figuring out a business name I wanted to invest. I tend to think of ideas when I’m falling asleep, and one night I was almost asleep when the word Logistics came into my name. I got up, picked up my phone and put in my notepad so I wouldn’t forget. I started to play with it a bit. I was so excited for the name I was ready to invest in an LLC that I called my sister up to help me narrow it down and basically just go for it. Skin Logistics represents all the logistics on what I provide as your aesthetician. Results by using medical grade professional products, educating you on how to properly use skincare products and the ingredients as to why they are important to achieve your results. I’m not only your provider in the treatment room but also outside. My clients know they can text me about anything the sun. Not only do I provide skin service but also other services like brow lamination, lash lifts and waxing. Most of all I’m not your typical aesthetician, I’m very personable I connect with you on all levels that majority of my clients eventually become friends. I love all our therapy sessions and deeply care a lot about my clients. That’s how Skin Logistics was born and I couldn’t be more obsessed with doing what I love most.
Alejandra, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am Alejandra based out of Tucson Arizona as a Corrective Skin Care Specialist. My is favorite service to provide is acne, I love a challenge knowing that acne is not curable but its maintainable. I LOVE education behind it and what I can do to help those who are struggling from understanding what their triggers are that will flare up their acne to what proper products they should be using to help clear and maintain their results. I treat as young as teens to those struggling with pigment or trying to delay aging. I’ve been in the beauty industry since I was 16 years old but my passion for skin started almost 4 years ago to where I’m learning constantly on products, facial massages, the overall health and what we put in our body’s that can affect our skin. What has always set me apart from the rest I think is I’M 1000% myself with no bullshit I tell you what works, what doesn’t or what I see you are not doing in a nice way of course. I stay completely transparent. I am so personable I love building relationships with anyone who walks through my doors. I feel honored for every new or recurring clients that would choose me out of everyone. For that I do everything I can to achieve their results, but most importantly bringing their confidence back. I smile ear to ear when I hear them just beaming and raving about their skin. Yes, the results are amazing but what’s so amazing to me is hearing their happiness, and that’s how I know I did my job, and I did it well.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
What I think has helped build me and my reputation have been my clients honestly. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for them. By showing up for me, referring me to new clients and sharing me on their social media platforms and the constant word of mouth.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Well besides word of mouth I have found that Instagram has really helped with my source of new clients I’ve invested my time and money on my brand and posting my little heart out on my before’s and after’s but I’ve also been told my personality that I display on my instagram is what made them vibe with me before they initially meet me in person.
