THE JOURNEY THAT BROUGHT ME HERE
For 27 years, I lived my personal life on a foundation that felt unshakeable. And for nearly 20 of those years, my professional world mirrored that same certainty—as a federal investigator, built on stability, structure, and a clearly defined path. I shaped my identity around that promise. I gave it my loyalty, my time, my energy, and my health. Then, in a single season—and for the three and a half years that followed—the ground I trusted most cracked open beneath me. It was a true Tower moment: everything had to crumble so a stronger, truer foundation could be built.
My body spoke before my mind was ready. I got sick — sick in a way that forces you to stop, to listen, to surrender. Everything I had known, everything I thought I could depend on, fell out from under me. And in that collapse, there was a moment where all I could feel was the weight of fear and the unknown pressing against my chest.
But there was also a whisper in that darkness — an invitation.
A nudge from God, the universe, and my own soul saying:
“You’re not breaking. You’re being rebuilt.”
Leaving my career wasn’t a tidy, graceful goodbye. It was a leap with no net. It was waking up every day with the kind of faith that tastes like adrenaline. It was grieving the identity I had worn for most of my adult life while trusting that something greater was trying to rise through me.
Starting my own business wasn’t some polished, curated dream. It was messy. It was uncomfortable. It was me learning to breathe again while rebuilding from ground zero. It was long nights, whispered prayers, tears in my pillow, and choices that felt wild on the outside but absolutely right on the inside.
Somewhere in the stillness of that recovery — after the sickness, after the collapse, after the letting go — my father came to me.
He passed in 2016, but he appeared in two dreams with a clarity that cut through the fog I was living in. His voice wasn’t dramatic; it was steady, grounded, familiar. He showed me the direction I needed to go. He pushed me toward the life I was too afraid to claim. He reminded me that I was meant to lead, to heal, to guide. His presence felt like hands on my shoulders, turning me toward my destiny.
And that was the moment the whisper grew into a calling.
It asked me to lead others home — home to themselves, home to their courage, home to their truth. It asked me to guide people through the same terrain I had been forced to cross: illness, fear, loss of identity, rebirth.
That calling became **Camino Encantado**, my retreats.
Before I could guide anyone, I had to learn what it meant to be lost.
Before I could lead, I had to remember what it meant to live.
Those retreats were born not from strategy, but from surrender.
Soon after, another calling came — softer, but certain.
It carried the blueprint for **Enchanted GLO Aesthetics + Energy Healing**, the place where I could merge everything: the physical, the energetic, the emotional, the spiritual. A space where beauty and healing intertwine, where people come to feel seen, held, and restored.
And then the integration revealed itself — the weaving of all these paths into a single, luminous vision:
**The Nourish • Balance • GLO Collective.**
A full-circle ecosystem of healing, esthetics, retreats, and transformation — the embodiment of everything my journey asked me to become.
Opening a business has not been easy.
It is far from established.
But the vision is solid.
The calling is real.
And the guidance around me is undeniable.
I know I am being supported by my ancestors, guided by my father, moved by God, and held by the universe with every step I take.
I am here because I chose faith over fear.
Because I listened.
Because I trusted.
Because I followed the whisper that turned into my life’s purpose.
This is my journey — the one that brought me home to myself so I can help others return home, too.

Alejandra, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Alejandra, the creator of the Nourish • Balance • GLO Collective, a living ecosystem where esthetics, energy work, and retreat experiences are woven together with intention, intuition, and reverence. My path into this work didn’t come from strategy or ambition — it came from a profound unraveling and a calling I could no longer ignore.
I spent nearly 20 years as a federal investigator. My intuition — the same intuition that guides my work today — was the core of my strength in that career. I could see beneath the surface, feel what wasn’t being said, sense truth in ways that logic alone could never explain. That ability carried me professionally, long before I understood it as a gift.
But while my career looked solid, the foundation of my personal life — 25 years of what I believed was unshakable — also began to fracture. The combination of emotional strain, personal upheaval, and the weight of a career misaligned with my spirit took a toll on my health. I became sick — sick enough that everything I knew was forced into stillness.
And in that stillness, I learned one of the hardest truths of my life:
Everything changes, even the things we swear will never move.
The structures we cling to can crumble.
The identities we build can dissolve.
And sometimes losing what we thought was solid reveals what was meant to rise.
While I was recovering, my father — who passed in 2016 — came to me in two vivid dreams. He didn’t speak in riddles or metaphors. His presence was steady, grounding, familiar. He pointed me toward a path I had been too afraid to claim and reminded me that I was being guided, protected, and moved toward something far greater than what I was leaving behind.
Those dreams were the beginning of a new map.
I became certified in multiple energy modalities — Akashic Records, Traditional and Angelic Reiki, EME Integration, chakra clearing and alignment, and Aroma Therapy. Through these studies, I understood the depth of the intuition I had always carried and learned how to use it with intention rather than instinct.
From there, the pieces began to take shape.
Camino Encantado was born — not as a business idea, but as a spiritual directive. Retreats emerged from lived experience, from my own journey of fragmentation, reclamation, and rebirth.
Soon after, Enchanted GLO Aesthetics + Energy Healing* came into form, creating a space where the physical, emotional, and energetic bodies could be tended to with equal devotion. And eventually, these threads wove themselves into the larger vision: the Nourish • Balance • GLO Collective, a full-circle integration of retreat work, esthetics, healing, and internal remembrance.
My approach to skin is rooted in something deeper than technique:
Our skin is a blueprint of where we’ve been.
It carries memory.
It holds your story.
It reflects the inner landscape long before it shows on the surface.
For me, beauty is not about perfection — it’s about remembering who you were always meant to be. Returning to yourself. Coming back home.
Yes, I offer facials — but they are not typical facials.
They are sacred sessions of reconnection.
They are invitations to soften, release, breathe, and realign.
They are a quiet pilgrimage inward.
My work is defined by integration — technical skill, intuitive knowing, energetic awareness, ancestral guidance, and a deep understanding that healing happens on multiple planes at once. What sets my approach apart is not what I do, but how I do it: with intention, with presence, and with an unwavering commitment to honoring the whole person — past, present, and becoming.
I am proud of the woman I’ve become through every collapse, every awakening, every redirection. I am proud of the spaces I’ve built — not because they are complete, but because they are alive and growing. And I am proud of the vision that continues to guide me, supported by God, the universe, my ancestors, and the unmistakable presence of my father.
This isn’t a business I run.
It is a calling I follow.
A path I am devoted to.
And every person who enters my space becomes part of this unfolding journey back to self.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
For most of my life, I believed that strength meant doing everything alone. I built my identity around being the reliable one, the problem-solver, the person who could carry the weight without asking for help. That mindset was shaped by years in high-pressure environments and reinforced by the praise I received for being “so strong.” Over time, I started to equate rest with laziness, vulnerability with weakness, and asking for support with failure.
That belief followed me straight into entrepreneurship. I thought I had to be the visionary, the practitioner, the marketer, the admin, the healer, and the leader—all at once. I pushed through exhaustion, convinced that if I slowed down, everything would collapse. On the outside, it looked like momentum. On the inside, it was burnout, loneliness, and a quiet resentment toward the very business I had prayed for.
The unraveling came through a season of deep personal change that left me no choice but to face that belief head-on. I realized I wasn’t strong because I did everything alone—I was strong because I had survived without the support I deserved. And surviving is very different from thriving.
Unlearning that lesson meant learning how to receive—for the first time without guilt. To ask for help without apologizing. To let people contribute. To rest without justifying it. To build systems and community rather than carry everything in silence. It changed how I show up in my work, how I lead, and how I define success. Strength, I’ve learned, is not in how much you can endure—it’s in how willing you are to be supported while you grow.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
My reputation was built through consistency, integrity, and the way people feel when they work with me. I’ve always led with care—whether that meant taking extra time with a client, following through when no one was watching, or being honest even when it wasn’t the easy answer. Over time, that trust compounds.
I also believe my willingness to blend skill with intention made a difference. I never approached my work as transactional—it was always relational. People weren’t only receiving a service; they were being seen, heard, and supported. Word-of-mouth grew naturally from that.
Lastly, I stayed committed to learning and evolving. I invested in my education, refined my craft, and stayed open to feedback. Instead of trying to be everything to everyone, I focused on doing my work well and with heart. That combination is what truly built my reputation.
