Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alejandra Carvajal. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Alejandra , thanks for joining us today. So, let’s imagine that you were advising someone who wanted to start something similar to you and they asked you what you would do differently in the startup-process knowing what you know now. How would you respond?

I believe that even though we do not have the possibility to bring time back, life does give us the opportunity to start over and do things in a different way. When I first started my business, I thought that by doing everything on my own I would have more chances to make more. Now as part of my growing experience I have learned that having a partner not only makes you stronger but brings you further. Recently I had the chance to do something different with the company, and it was partnering up with someone that not only complements me as a planner but also brings our work to a next level. I feel that now we are starting over and stronger. My new partner and long-life friend Carolina Echeverry specialized in sales and marketing is now part of this dream and we are both ready to achieve greater things as a team.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

ABC Event Planning is an event planning company focused on creating memorable events for clients, making they’re planning process fun and unforgettable. They’re main compromise is to make their client’s dream event a reality in a zero-stress environment.

ABC Event Planning was founded in Miami in 2017. It is co-owned by Alejandra Carvajal and Carolina Echeverry long live friends who share not only an amazing friendship but a passion for planning events.

They both share different business backgrounds but are both detailed oriented, organized and passionate about everything they do. They feel that doing things with love is the key to doing things right.

How’d you meet your business partner?

I have known my business partner for my entire life. We are both from Cali Colombia and went to the same school since we were four years old until we graduate from high school at the age of 18. I moved to Miami right after graduating and Carolina who’s my business partner now stayed in Cali. Even though we were not in the same city anymore, we remained friends and we would see each other every time I would visit my hometown or any time that she would come to Miami. We both grew professionally in different fields, but we always shared an amazing friendship and the philosophy of doing everything with the heart. When Carolina had the opportunity to move to Miami we decided to partner up and together we are building this dream.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

We believe that our most effective strategy for growing our clientele is to do an exceptional work with every single event so that our clients can refer us to all of their loved ones. We believe that word of mouth is a very strong and powerful tool.
