Alright, Alejandra thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear your thoughts and the story behind how and why you chose the cause or organization you donate to.

PartyAnimal donates 10% of net profits from each sale directly to rescue focused charities. At the heart of PartyAnimal is a deep-rooted commitment to making a difference in the lives of dogs in need. As rescue dog parents ourselves, we understand the joy and love these animals bring into our lives. We also recognize the challenges faced by countless dogs still waiting for their forever homes.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I’ve always celebrated my rescue dog Maya’s birthday, and today, at 6 years old, she continues to bring so much joy to my life. Every year with her has been a gift. In 2021, while visiting family in Mexico, I found a puppy on the street. She was in rough shape, but felt an immediate connection and I knew we had to bring her home to LA. At home, we were able to provide her with the medical care and love she desperately needed.

As I reflected on how difficult her first year must have been, and knowing we had to celebrate her birthday like I had always done for her sister Maya, my boyfriend and I knew Lenni’s birthday needed to be something extra special—a true celebration of how far she’d come. I started planning her party, but quickly became frustrated with the limited and generic options available. Nothing felt right so I decided to make the decorations myself, adding a personal touch that made the celebration feel truly meaningful.

By the time Lenni’s 2nd birthday and Maya’s 5th birthdays came around, PartyAnimal was born. What started as a personal project turned into something much bigger, thanks to the support of friends and family who encouraged us to share it with others. We realized we had created a solution for dog lovers who wanted to celebrate their pets birthday in a unique and special way. And that’s how PartyAnimal came to life—born from love, creativity, and the desire to make every dog’s birthday unforgettable.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.

At PartyAnimal, we’re building a true community of dog lovers who share our passion for celebrating these special family members. Every PartyPack we create is deeply personal, featuring each dog’s name, face, and age, which helps us form a genuine connection with every pup we serve. When we’re putting together these celebration boxes, we feel like we’re part of that dog’s special day, and that connection is incredibly meaningful to us.

We maintain these relationships in several ways. We actively engage with our community on Instagram, where we love seeing photos and stories from the celebrations we helped create. After each dog’s special day, we personally reach out to our customers via email to hear about their experience and gather feedback. This not only helps us continuously improve but allows us to speak candidly with our customers.

What really makes our hearts full is seeing the joy our PartyPacks bring to these celebrations. When customers share photos and stories of their dogs enjoying their personalized items, it reinforces why we pour so much love and care into every single box. We’re not just selling products – we’re helping create memories and building a community of people who understand that our dogs deserve to be celebrated.

Can you talk to us about manufacturing? How’d you figure it all out? We’d love to hear the story.

I didn’t initially know how to manufacture a product from scratch, but thanks to the encouragement from those around me, I was inspired to give it a try. My older sister was a great inspiration through this process. She has always been incredibly creative and embraces challenges with enthusiasm. Growing up, I watched her bring ideas to life, turning nothing into something.

When my boyfriend / business partner and I began discussing our product and everything needed to make it a reality, I realized I had a lot to learn. Along the way, I discovered that there were many people in my life who could help. My partner’s mom, an artist, had a wealth of knowledge about design and craftsmanship. My mom, who was taking a sewing class as a hobby, offered invaluable insights that became crucial to the process. And my sister was a constant source of inspiration, helping me think outside the box whenever I hit a roadblock.

I’ve learned that creating a product isn’t just about individual skill—it’s about collaboration. It takes a community of people, each contributing their expertise, to bring an idea to life. The key is knowing how to tap into those resources and bring them all together to make something greater than the sum of its parts.
