We recently connected with Alejandra A.Wuotto and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Alejandra thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
My newest projects are my twerkout classes, where you will learn to twerk but also you will work your glutes and lower body. You only need a resistance band, yoga mat and water!
I have 3 levels, so don’t worry it’s beginner friendly!
Also I just launched my website where you can buy booty shorts with such a nice designs, ideal for the beach, training, pole classes, twerk, etc…but you can wear them everywhere.
Alejandra, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
The most difficult question that I have been asked was at 18 years old; when I had to choose what I wanted to study, I like art, theater, music, painting, poetry; I like to learn new things, I like exercise. After changing careers several times and realizing that there is nothing wrong with developing yourself in different professional fields.
During the pandemic, I just had my daughter, was living a postpartum cooped up in my house 24/7 dealing with a lot of uncertainty about what was going to happen in the world, so I decided to offer free classes through instagram, where I shared some of my workouts.
From there I decided that I wanted to learn more and get my certification, so I got my certifications as:
– Personal Trainer and nutrition coach at NASM
– Pregnancy and postpartum corrective exercise especialist
– TRX instructor
Some time later I started taking different twerk courses, until one day I decided to combine my knowledge and offer “twerkout” classes where I combine two of my great passions; dancing and exercise.
As a result of these classes I decided to start my own brand of booty shorts “fitnessbyaleja shop” handmade products, made with a lot of love too and super cute designs!
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn being a perfectionist and learn to “let go” I realized that it is better to put your project outside even if you think it is not 100% ready, because tomorrow you will have a new project and you will have more opportunities, clinging to a project and looking for the perfection is closing doors and blocking your creative process
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
The word resilience is a word that I learned very little when someone said it to me referring to how it described my mentality a bit and I had to look it up in the dictionary because I didn’t know what it was.
It’s hard to explain but more than believing that I’ve been resilient, I think that’s what I’ve seen at home since I was little; my father had an illness for years and I remember him making jokes; my mother, after becoming a widow, with 3 children, she gave us an education, food and a roof; in my mind there is no “I can’t”
If something doesn’t work for me; I take a moment to analyze the situation, I start looking for more ideas, and I come back with another new project or with the same one but improved.
Above all I believe that there is no failure as such, if a project does not work, I have always learned and above all it has helped me to improve, I really enjoy the ups and downs of life, because life is that, high notes, notes low, but the melody is beautiful!
