The most meaningful project I’ve worked on to date is my collaborative “Evolve or Dissolve” album series. It started as a seed in the mind and has since grown beyond my wildest expectations and truly into something magical that contains a life of its own.

I’ve been writing songs & recording albums since I was 13 years old. I’ve been very fortunate to have a bevy of mentors in the arts throughout my journey, especially in music.

When I started this project, I was coming off of a period of 2.5 years of recording completely independently, pretty much alone in my bedroom, as so many of us were during the first wave of Covid-19. During this time, my long term intimate relationship was falling apart and I was beginning to confront a massive, all encompassing and long overdue self realization.

I began transitioning medically in January 2023, and in May 2022 – myself and a team of trusted multi-dimensional collaborators that have had a massive impact on my relationship to music, started creating a body of work that is very much still in development and yet is actively making

I intended for this project to be one long album initially but I was convinced by my co-producer and long time creative collaborator & very dear friend Bryan DiMaio, that we should consider breaking up the project into multiple albums to allow this story to unfold organically as I’m growing into myself in real time.

At this moment in time – Evolve or Dissolve pt.1 is out in the world, part 2 is on the way and I’ve been performing pt.1 – pt.3 live for almost a year while continuing to develop the concept, writing new songs and taking time flushing out the arrangements with those involved. I couldn’t be more proud of what we’re creating and how it actively evokes the multi-dimensional evolution I’ve been experiencing inside out.

I’m a 30 year old bi-racial, transgender, multi-hyphenate creative. I’m the girl that’s been told their whole life that they’re “doing too much” or that they need to “double down.” The truth is, as long as I can remember, if I get intrigued enough about something to pursue it – I’m going for it. At the core of that yearning to experience and express has always been a desire to create, to make an impact.

Dancing was the first magic to enter my life around age 4 or 5, I started ballet. Theatre and acting were next closely followed by music and singing – I attended the Berklee College of Music from 2011-2015 with a double major in film-scoring and songwriting as well as a minor in child and adolescent developmental psychology.

I love movies, I love music, I love humans and seeking to better understand myself and others – art is the method

Since Moving to NYC in 2017, I’ve been working full time in the arts doing anything and everything from engineering to producing, performing live, songwriting, jingle-writing, djing, acting, modeling, appearing in dua lipa music videos lol

I currently have a studio in my apartment in Ridgewood, Queens where I primarily create my own music and work on post production for other various film and original music projects.

I’ve been told “No” just about as many times as someone could possibly be told no and still somehow have the audacity to be saying “yes” to themselves. I’ve been “this close” and missed it, not my time, not my turn, not the right fit, not the right face, not the right trajectory, not the right message etc… more times than I can count.

However, I can count every single time someone has taken a chance on me. I literally give everything I have into my art because my why is beyond myself. Existing in an active state of devotion to the artistic process is more demanding than I ever could have imagined but I’m grateful that I have a lot of friends & peers that operate in a similar fashion and we navigate these burdens collectively, which makes the contribution no matter the size feel meaningful.
