We were lucky to catch up with Alan Pineda recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alan, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you think folks should manage their own social media or hire a professional? What do you do?
Yes, I currently manage all aspects of the Pasión de Acero podcast myself—from content creation and video editing to designing and posting on social media. It’s definitely a demanding job, but when it’s done with passion and purpose, the effort pays off. The audience response has been incredibly rewarding, and their engagement is a constant reminder that authenticity resonates.
One of the main reasons I chose to handle everything personally is that I wanted the brand to reflect my voice and vision from day one. This approach allows me to stay closely connected to the audience and understand firsthand what content truly connects with them.
If there’s one piece of advice I could share with other business owners: don’t underestimate the power of consistency and authenticity. Even if you don’t have a team or big resources, showing up consistently with content that genuinely reflects your values will build trust and loyalty over time.

Alan, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Alan Pineda and I’m the creator of Pasión de Acero, a Spanish-language podcast and digital platform dedicated to the Pittsburgh Steelers. I started this project out of a deep love for the team and a desire to connect with the Spanish-speaking NFL community.
I handle everything—from content creation and podcast production to social media and audience engagement. What sets Pasión de Acero apart is its authentic voice and focus on connecting emotionally with fans through storytelling, analysis, and culture.
I’m proud to have built a growing, passionate community of Steelers fans across Latin America and the U.S., and I strive to continue creating content that informs, entertains, and unites.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Even though I wouldn’t call myself naturally creative, the most rewarding part has been seeing how consistent effort and experimentation lead to growth. Working across so many aspects of content—audio, video, social media—has helped me develop a sharper eye for visuals and storytelling. Watching the audience connect more and more with what I create is incredibly fulfilling. It’s proof that creativity can be built with passion and persistence.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Yes—my main mission is to create a space where Spanish-speaking fans of the NFL, and especially of the Pittsburgh Steelers, feel represented and connected. There’s a huge community out there with passion for football, but not always enough content in their language or culture. Through my podcast and social media, I aim to bridge that gap—informing, entertaining, and celebrating the game from a unique perspective. That sense of community and connection is what drives everything I do.
