We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Alan Goldsher. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Alan below.
Alan, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
Prior to Covid, I executive produced Emmy Awarded series for PBS stations in NYC including Best Places To Live and Faces of Philanthropy.
The pandemic altered my approach to content creation.
Since the summer of 2020, I have created over 1300 free video profiles to help small businesses during the pandemic and am now producing content in NY, NJ, CT, MA, Philly, Atlanta, Miami, Las Vegas and in the L.A. area.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I began my career in media selling local display ads at community newspapers I my CT hometown. After 6 years of working for others, I started my first publication – selling it 3 years later after phenomenal growth.
Then I got into cable tv ad sales, magazine publishing, and also a newspaper in NJ that I saved, became owner of then sold.
I began my tv producing experience with a real estate show that aired on WPIX 11 from 2008-2010, and then former RE-InventionTV in 2011, producing series for PBS and other stations, winning a Best magazine Series NY Emmy Award in 2013z

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me, telling s small business owners story – and providing them with the finished content for their own use – for FREE over 1300 times in 3 years, has been the privilege of my life.
These are relationships and stories that have had a tremendous impact on my life.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The best way to create a new relationship with a would-be buyer is to show that you are generous, empathetic and creative – and do it for free. A free gesture upfront is cheaper than months of salesmanship in the long run.
