Akena , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
The most meaningful project I’ve worked on was camp lotus of 2019 working with Kirk Franklin and his Amazing team along with other very talented artists like me , we worked together for a whole week to put together a huge showcase that basically allowed us local artist to showcase our pure gifts with the rest of the world

So yes , if you’ve never read about me in past articles I’m Akena , as known as KeKe or Kekethevocalist to a lot of social media platforms , I’m an upcoming R&B Dallas Artsit & Social Media Influencer !
I provide services such as
– singing at weddings , parties , live shows and much more basically all around entertainment !
What am I most proud of ? I’m proud of staying true to myself while living in a world that can be so cruel , I’m most proud of me being authentic and humble in everything that I do .
What sets me apart from other artist is that I’m authentic when it comes to not just music but being me , I’m always smiling always humble and just a fresh breath of air, I’m so pure and genuine so that’s what sets me apart from others
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me the most beautiful and rewarding aspect of being an artist is seeing all of my social media supporters actually react with my covers & challenges that I post and seeing the positive feedback that I get from them , also another one is receiving bookings and hearing the excitement in their voices as they book me for special occasions
Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Yes ! Don’t get me wrong it’s still ALOT for me to learn as a young upcoming artist but I wish I would’ve known about – ghost writers
– proper studio etiquette
– social media platforms and the importance of consistent social media posting.
