Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Akaytra Jones. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Akaytra, appreciate you joining us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?

My defining moment started when I was introduced to the world of energy work and healing. I didn’t know at the time, when I took my first class that it was going to be life changing but it was. I was then working at a bank for about 7 years and also attending school full time to become a forensic scientist. I attend a healing fair and met this amazing woman, who in so many ways reminded me of my grandmother. She taught a class on chakras and energy healing and it resonated so deeply. It provided a piece of me that I had yet to find. I then began taking more classes with her and as my healing and knowledge grew so did my passion. So I began offering the very same tools and services that were once taught to me to others. And as my work progressed I made the courageous decision to leave my college program and then eventually quit working for the bank. This moment completely changed my life and has led me to such a rewarding and fulfilling career. I get to help others find the same happiness, peace, passion, and purpose. I am forever grateful!!!

Akaytra, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I have been able to see spirits since I was 4 years old. I didn’t know at the time what that all meant but I felt drawn to the supernatural. I was into movies, shows where people had these gifts, abilities to see things, know things, read others. Little did I know I was drawn to it because I too had these same gifts. I became reading with cards around age 11; for family and friends. When I got into my 20s I met an amazing healer. She taught me how to do Milagros Energywork. Which is a healing technique that has been passed down through generations of healers in her family line. From there my connection to the divine and the spiritual world grew. I no longer need cards to read people and situations. My ability as a medium developed. As a healer, as a psychic, as a channel. So what I have been doing is helping others find themselves the same way I was taught. Through intuition, channeling, healing. I have now established a non profit organization where I can share these gifts. I teach Milagros energywork. I lead guided meditations weekly online, soon to be in person as well. I provide intutive reading, coaching and healing. I also make my own healing and cleansing products to aid people. All with the desire to spread light and love to the world. To build a healing space for all in need. To build a space to also showcase other healers, artists. But also to inspire and empower all others to move forward with their work. This is my mission.

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?

The most helpful for success in holistic work is self care. We as healers tend to forget about ourselves. We cannot help others if we are not ok ourselves first. So healing and taking care of ourselves first. Also the importance of cleansing energetically. We constantly are picking things up from others and with this type of work it’s more prominent. So remember to take care.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I think my reputation has reached so many people because of the type of intuitive work I do. I am able to connect to a persons team or spiritual guides, which we are all born with. From this channeling connection I am able to provide answers to the individual that pertains to their situation. With specific answers without them needing to provide any information. Also help them heal with all of the skills I have learned. This has helped me build my business. People have been so wowed or healed that the business has been spread by word of mouth. This has begun to spread more so online now and will continue to grow.
